“By far the BEST coffee, juice, bagels and donuts I have EVER had!!!It’s my first stop when I get to LA and believe me I dream of their iced vanilla ice coffees when I’m home in Canada. First time ever having flavoured coffee without it being flavoured from a sweet syrup. They infuse their beans so bo sugar or cream needed for me.Tip: they do sell the coffee beans so you can bring it home.Favourites: Black Vanilla Ice Coffee, Fresh squeezed orange juice, cheese bagel, glazed donut!The juice is like biting an orange directly. So fresh and delicious!“

“Wow! Went here for the first time this morning and I was not disappointed! The bagels themselves are delicious. Crisp on the outside, soft in the inside. I got the whitefish salad bagel (closed) and it was so delicious and packed!!! It’s definitely worth the price that’s for sure. Fair pricing overall. Lots of street parking but not very many actual seating so just be wary. Would 100% come back“

“Best bagels in LA. Always hit the spot. I love the plain bagels with cream cheese but they also have so many cool specialty bagels I feel like you can't get anywhere else in LA. It's usually somewhat busy but I preorder most of the time which makes the whole process much easier so I recommend doing that. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. I recommend Layla for anyone who wants a delicious bagel that keeps you full!“

“delicious, high quality bagels, toppings, and cream cheese spreads! came on a wednesday morning and there was a small line, the food itself is amazing and there is a wide variety of bagel options ranging from bagels with cream cheese, breakfast sandwiches, and lunch sandwiches. drinks are also available but didn’t try. it is on the pricier side with the BEC at nearly $17 without avocado… but it is in santa monica so that checks out. definitely recommend to UCLA students looking to try something new, food is great!!“

“Probably top 3 bagels I’ve ever had in my life. And I LOVE a NY bagel. I got the rosemary and seal salt bagel with lox, bean sprouts, tomatoes, and eggs and it was absolutely fantastic. “We ADORED Layla Bagels and Coffee! We went to the Beverly Hills one. Charming, incredibly delicious original take on the bagel and more. Freshest ingredients. Amazing delicious combinations which include fresh herbs and seasonings as well as the key ingredients. The tomatoes, cucumbers and onions, the quality of the smoked salmon, and the beautiful fruit bagels with the freshest fruit and wonderful flavor combinations like adding honey to it are THE BEST. This is a casual place with indoor and outdoor seating on a fun block of Beverly Drive. Plus one more thing - the staff is super upbeat, fun, friendly, and they understand the essence of hospitality“

Budget lunch options in Sawtelle are hard to come by. At NY Bagel and Deli, you can get a good old fashion new york style bagel for less than $10 (including an add on and the egg surcharge). Their bagels seemed to be made in house. I found their everything bagel to be delicious! It was very filling as well.

I came later around 1pm and they ran out of hashbrowns. Hoping they have hashbrowns the next time I visit!“

“Its tasty. Ingredients are fresh. I got the one with cream cheese and salmon. The amount of salmon was laughable paper thin pieces, but the entire sandwich tasted good. The portion is basically two big half bagels. The dough is not doughy and doesnt stand out like at Noah's. The tomatoes are really tasty and meaty. With a can of soda I ended up paying $23 which is kinda hurtful lol. The place is pretty small but they have a small curbside seating area. The play neutral music and the service was fast. One and done“

“Stopped by Sam’s bagel to grab a lunch sandwich. Around 1:30 pm there were not many options left. I’ve ordered a Turkey sandwich on a Jalapeño Bagel.
Sandwich comes with lettuce and other veggies and sliced turkey ham, 11$ for the sandwich is a fair price. The taste was good but nothing special, just a good sandwich. It’s more a shop for to go orders. Service was ok, had to wait until the staff took my order even if nobody was in front of me.

“Mike at Mama Donuts decorated our donuts as a turntable for our daughter’s 50th birthday. It was a vinyl record party theme! The donuts were amazing! The decor, the taste. “I went there to get breakfast around 8:30. We didn't have to wait or anything but it looked pretty busy. I got chocolate crossant and drip coffee (house brend). The crossant could've been a little more crispy but the coffee was real nice. They have counter seat inside and many outside seat too so it's good that they have good options for seat too in case it's too hot outside.“
