“Tong Sui Desserts & Drinks in Sunnyvale offers an interesting take on traditional desserts, though it didn’t quite match my personal preferences.
Signature Dishes: Maybe it’s just me, but I didn’t love their tong sui signature dishes. As a huge coconut fan, I felt like the addition of flavors like strawberry or vanilla made it taste a bit too western for my liking, taking away from the authentic coconut flavor I enjoy. While the concept is creative, the execution didn’t quite hit the mark for me.
Pricing: The pricing definitely felt a bit high for what you get. While the desserts are decent, I don’t think they justify the cost, especially considering the size and flavor profile of the dishes.
Service: The service, however, was great. The staff were helpful and friendly, offering suggestions and answering questions with a smile. They made the experience much more pleasant, and I appreciate their attentiveness.
Ambience: The ambience was solid as well. It’s a cozy space with a relaxed vibe, making it a nice place to unwind while enjoying your dessert. The atmosphere contributes positively to the overall experience.
Overall, while Tong Sui Desserts & Drinks has a nice vibe and good service, the desserts and pricing didn’t quite work for me. It’s worth checking out if you’re open to their unique take on traditional flavors, but it wasn’t exactly what I was hoping for.“

“Great place for a quick yet freshly made Mediterranean food! We tried the falafel pita wrap with babaganoush and fries + chicken shawarma with rice , hummus and and walnut pepper dip (just so amazing). The chicken was succulent and perfectly spiced and the falafel was crispy yet light. Love all their sides and extra sauces too. Don’t miss out on the freshly squeezed juices- orange carrot was my favorite!“

“This is a very small boba shop but it was a couch and a couple of chairs inside of needed. Staff is very nice and friendly. The drinks were good. Boba was sold out so we tried the pineapple strawberry tea what has actual pineapple in it. Pretty refreshing. And the mango drink was pretty good. Not too sweet.
There are some cute elements in the decor but it lacks a central theme, so it's not memorable. Wish they would lean more into the emoji theme that's in their name.
It's a good place to stop by for a drink when walking around the area.“

“I stop by here when I'm in town every year or two and it's still one of my favorite places. I like Bambu Favorite but Bambu Combo is nice for when I want a little chaos in my drink (basically a little of everything). I like the crunchy red tapioca, refreshing herbal jelly, chewy pandan jelly, sweet milky blend of coconut and scoop of finely crushed ice.
The Bambu in my area closed down so I'm glad I can still have some here. The ambience has changed a lot since I was last here, but it's still a vibrant and unique hangout.“

“My wife was craving for some Thai Iced Tea. So we tried Happy Lemon's thai iced tea. PS. It's a seasonal menu item and may not be on the menu. Was tasty with some salted cheese, we enjoyed it. Unfortunately, they dont make it with light ice.“

“Thank you Gina and Veronica for working so hard and keeping this place as inviting as ever. I walked into the store and Gina helped me set up the JJ app on my phone, replaced my old reward cards, and redeemed them. Thank you very much! I recommend this store to everyone.“
