“I have been going to Porto's since the 1980's..the one in Glendale. How elated I was with having them being in Northridge where I live. The food is terrific and the lines go fast due to a tremendous quick system they have. The catering for parties has never let us down and people you have invited that never have experienced Portos are thrilled. The cakes are delicious. What I do miss is not having the individual cake slices for purchase so you can experience the taste. They only have the neapolitan, Parisian, and carrot for slices. I've seen the menu change over time and do miss some of the items.“

Lucas, in particular, has helped us many times and delivers some of the best customer service I’ve experienced anywhere. He’s genuinely friendly, makes you feel like an old friend, and puts together an amazing ice cream creation every time.

The ice cream is consistently phenomenal. They rotate in new flavors regularly while keeping the classics around. My personal favorite? Cookie dough—can’t go wrong with it.

“We love Half Baked! We discovered it, ironically enough, just months before I was diagnosed with Celiac in 2016. Luckily, they have gluten free options a plenty. Of all the gluten free bakeries nearby, they were THE most affordable for wedding cakes. We collaborated with Natalie who was with us from day one. She is wonderful - so understanding and supportive. Half Baked's execution of our vision onto 3 elegant cakes was lovely and classy. The GF spice with cream cheese was the best - our very favorite! There were some unfortunate issues with the other two cakes, but Natalie assisted us thoughtfully and ultimately provided us with an ample solution. We have loved Half Baked since we discovered them. We highly recommend them for events or anytime, especially if you need delicious gluten free options that won't break the bank!“

Despite a full establishment and a steady stream of customers continuing to come in, he remained completely focused on giving every single person an excellent experience. He worked quickly without ever rushing, making sure each order was done right the first time.

Even with a long line, Julian took his time at the register to ensure accuracy, double-checking orders and even asking if we had a punch card to use, something that could easily be overlooked when working solo under pressure. His professionalism, attention to detail, and calm demeanor stood out and made the experience enjoyable for everyone waiting.

I honestly couldn’t help but feel for him being on his own-he definitely could have used some support but he handled it all with efficiency and a positive attitude.

Boss man, take note and recognize this hardworking employee; dedicated workers like Julian are hard to come by these days.

One Shawarma can feed two people, just a note. Inside can get a bit hot because the kitchen is connected to the inside dining.“

“Clarice’s is awesome. I recently went here for my sister’s wedding cake and they not only made the process easy, the cake was beautiful and delicious. The bride had no clue what she wanted, her words were literally “dealer’s choice”. Yet Clarice’s made the most perfect cake for her aesthetic. Like they were psychic or something. They also made some really great professional suggestions, like their two bite cupcakes to go along with the cake. The best part of all, was their affordability. “I took my wife here tonight on our way back home because she wanted her cappuccino blast drink. I drive by this Baskin Robbins everyday but never visited this location because it's inside a gas station and there no left then when exiting the plaza.

When we came tonight an hour before they close, they were not busy at all. There was only one lady working tonight. I got a small strawberry smoothie and my wife got her medium cappuccino blast. It took awhile for her to make our drink but we were understanding. Another guest came after us and waited for the lady to finish making our drink.

Our drinks were good and we didn't have a bad experience here.“

Menchie’s in Valencia is truly amazing! We visit frequently with our kids and are always impressed by the cleanliness of the shop. The bar and toppings area are spotless, and the tables are well-maintained. The staff is exceptional, and Jennie stands out as a warm and welcoming presence. She's incredibly helpful, reminding us about our rewards and informing us of upcoming bonus points. In February, she provided us with great insights on what’s coming next!

Jennie’s friendly demeanor and constant smiles make our visits even more enjoyable. The machines are always in working order, and there's always ample seating for us to relax and enjoy our treats. We love Menchie’s for the perfect family atmosphere.
