About BINCHO RAMEN TARZANA

Tucked away in Tarzana, BINCHO RAMEN TARZANA is a small, well-lit space with a cozy vibe that immediately puts guests at ease. The restaurant is run by a lovely duo—Toshiro, the husband and chef, and Misaki, the wife and part-time server—who are a breath of fresh air. The staff serves with smiles for days.

The ramen is completely authentic, among the best outside of Japan, and better than in Sawtelle or DTLA. The rich, creamy broth is real, not too heavy, not bland, with just enough garlic flavor and the perfect level of spice. The ramen noodles taste like freshly beaten eggs, fluffy flour, and the best butter, with a rustic and good texture. The tender, well-seasoned, mouth-watering pork has tons of flavor and not a lot of fat. The perfectly poached egg and creamy, savory broth complete the dish.

Specific highlights include the Bincho Spicy Tonkatsu Tamago, the Black Tonkotsu ramen, and the black garlic ramen. The fried squid is delicious and fresh. The matcha cheesecake is dangerously good with authentic matcha flavor. While more expensive than average, the higher quality is worth the price. Guests recommend this place and look forward to coming back.

Delicious ramen with rich black soup that tastes so authentic it brought me back to Japan (in the future time lol) Paired perfectly with a cold Sapporo beer — pure comfort.

Amazing and purposeful service by Sarah, Kate, and Mona. Friendly, heartwarming, and attentive — they truly made the experience feel special. They all deserve a holiday pay raise and recognition for their great work.

All around, 5 stars. We walked in and immediately felt at ease with Adriana welcoming us in with such warmth. It’s a small space, well lit and gives a cozy vibe.

As we looked over the menu’s options, I had questions regarding the ramen. Our server kindly clarified and suggested I go for the Bincho Spicy Tonkatsu Tamago, for my first visit.
