“If you've ever been to Ichiran, this is a very similar experience. You get a menu card to fill out what you want while you wait for a table to be available. I'm just going to get it out of the way, the ramen is fantastic. Get the original tonkotsu broth you WON'T regret it. The karage chicken was a solid 4/5 I'd get it again but I've had better. My only gripe with the whole experience was that it was fairly cold outside and we were sitting right next to the open door. Other than that, I definitely recommend this place, I'll be coming back for sure.“

“The ramen was great! Portions were good, broth was nice, noodles were cooked well. Toppings, however, are limited to only 3. I got the curry ramen which was different but unique. Also got garlic edamame...for the price it was a small portion but tasted great.

The service was fast. You order through tablets outside or inside. Reminiscent of Japan.

There's bar seating and a couple booths inside with additional seating outside. The space is very cozy and welcoming. Downside is parking. Its only street parking or if youre lucky the lot across the street.“

“I have had many many bowls of ramen in Los Angeles, this may be the best one ever. For once the bamboo shoots floating the bowl are actually worth eating! Usually I wonder why are they there? These were delicious. Even more so regarding the slices of pork. They are often like rubber doggy chew toys. These on the other hand were tender, flavorful and truly wonderful. Of course the most important part is the noodles and these were perfectly cooked al dente. This was a bowl of pure satisfaction. I also tried my friends scallops bowl and my wife's crispy chicken and both made me sorry I didn't order them, too. Finally, my big issue with asian restaurants in general is quality of dessert. Here is a beautiful slice of Yuzu cheesecake, presented with wonderful dollops of cream and sauce. Should have order one for each of us instead of sharing! This is the place. I can't wait to try everything on the menu.“

the broth is unmatched even by daikokuya in little tokyo. the noodles is about average but the soup and the pork is so delicious they more than make up for the noodles shortcomings…

Available through doordashz grubhub and ubereats this small chain biz has an incredible creamy vegan ramen, spicy lemon grass ramen, veggie spring rolls, tofu nuggets, shishito peppers, edamame, rice bowls, salads, soups and lots of traditional Japanese and ramen dishes that will please your taste buds times two. They have some decent outdoor seating, but incredibly indoor and a huge parking lot in back. The service is always good and usually very personable. “My kids were raving about this place and they finally invited me to try this location. So naturally, I ordered their best items on the menu. We ordered the chicken pieces as an appetizer and we all chose a bowl of ramen. I ordered the beef broth truffle soup with an extra side of pork belly. The appetizer and the special sauce was delicious and the Ramen was amazing. As a big fan of Phó, this place was really good. Next time we come in, I will order the chicken broth. The only reason it didn't get a 5 star review was because of what management said to us as we dined. One of the people in our party did not have soup, they had a sandwich from the restaurant next door. Management came to our table and said that they didn't allow outside food to be eaten in their restaurant. With multiple restaurants located in this shopping center and No signs posted anywhere, I think this policy should be re-evaluated. Between the 3 of us eating Ramen, the bill was almost $84 with a tip. I think for the location being so close to other choices of food and the price, my family should be able to enjoy dinner together. I hope they change this policy in the near future.“

“My dinner at Kanpai Sushi in Santa Monica was nothing short of extraordinary. Chef Yoshi is a true master sushi chef. While he may not be new to the craft, his skill, precision, and deep understanding of traditional sushi brought me back to a time when sushi was simply done right.

In fact, Chef Yoshi could probably serve me a shoelace, and it would be the best thing I’ve ever eaten.

Everything was exceptionally fresh. The wasabi had a vibrant freshness that elevated every bite, and the ginger practically melted in my mouth. I sampled as much toro as I could possibly eat, along with an incredible selection of fish that showcased Chef Yoshi’s mastery and attention to detail.

The Kumamoto oysters were so delicious they made me want to kiss my fingers and thank the heavens. The uni was phenomenal and remains one of my favorite bites of the evening. However, the biggest surprise was the seared salmon belly. It was my first time trying salmon prepared that way, and it absolutely blew my mind.

Instead of ending the meal with dessert, I finished with a hand roll that combined fresh tuna and crispy shrimp tempura, topped with eel sauce. The contrast of cool, fresh tuna and warm, crunchy shrimp tempura created an unforgettable bite and was a complete game changer.

I’ve been eating sushi since I was 18 years old, and now well into my 50s, I can confidently say this is the best sushi restaurant I have ever experienced. Beyond the incredible food, the staff was attentive, professional, and genuinely respectful throughout the entire evening.

I have officially found my favorite sushi spot.

“The first time I tried this place i never thought I would return. The chicken was for some reason tasted too much like charcoal and was rather unpleasant. I was very saddened but figured it was a bad batch and was hoping to return for a retribution batch and I’m so glad that I gave it another chance. Torisoba, when done correctly, is a knock out out the park.

Last night left me in awe, from sampling my friend’s ramen to multiple appetizers my mouth was celebrating each bite. You could tell the food came out fresh as it was warm and took some time to prepare. The chicken soup that gets served with the fried chicken tartar and sweet and sour options is one of the most hearty and savory soups your taste buds will ever meet.

The variations of fried to charcoal chicken will leave you pointing your chopsticks and knowing your head in agreement with friends. They don’t cheap out as the bowl is filled with plenty of goodies. Top it off with some Yuzu kosho (green chili peppers and yuzu zest) and blast off into the best chicken meal you could have.

They have vegan and other options as well and their menu seems to be expanding. Try it all and I’m so glad I ventured back for this meal was truly out of the park.“

I love the way it's decorated inside and the music is great! I've heard them play Bryson Tiller, Sza, Chris Brown (old & new), Pitbull, Nicki Minaj, etc! Its a great vibe here, the servers are very kind & accommodating. I've also almost tried half their menu if not most of it by now. Some of the best ramen I've had & I love how it's customizable. If you enjoy baked rolls I highly recommend the Sapporo roll & if you prefer fresh the snow white is fantastic too! I was skeptical about the jalapeño poppers, but they're actually SO good coming from someone who isn't a fan of most jalapeño poppers. Overall, the food is very tasty, its a great place that is open late with good deals & prices, and has a rewards program through toast as well!“

“I finally tried Silverlake Ramen at the Porter Ranch Vineyards, and I enjoyed every moment of it. I’ve heard about Silverlake Ramen for years, so I was excited when they opened one so close to my house. I don’t remember the exact name of my order, but it was a chicken-based broth and I chose tofu as my protein (you can pick chicken, pork, or tofu). Seriously—YUM. The noodles were cooked to perfection, the toppings were just the right amount, and I completely got lost in that broth.

Everything was fairly priced, delicious, and the service was attentive and genuinely upbeat. I’m absolutely going back. We also tried a couple of appetizers—the gyoza and the crispy rice with spicy tuna—and both were great!“
