Unique Pastry Café is a Kosher bakery offering vegan & gluten-free pastries, including amazing Pistachio's birthday cake and a wide selection of vegan options. Despite the dark storefront, the food is fantastic with generous portions of shakshuka, pancakes, bagels, and egg sandwiches. The service may be slow and prices high, but the giant hamantaschen is a must-try. Some find the employees cranky, but others say the staff is friendly and accommodating. The nondairy cake is perfect for dietary needs, and the lox bagel is pretty good, though you have to build it yourself. Free parking is available in the large lot. It remains the best spot in the area.
