Chulos Cafe & Cantina Reviews
Fresh, creative Latin and American fusion. Really interesting menu items for breakfast and lunch, along with the standards. Great care is taken with the simple things—fruit, garnishes and sides. Pleasant service, locally owned. Support small business!
Karol and her team are awesome! They revamped the menu and made it more latin-inspired, from mexican, spanish, and Peruvian dishes, the selections are paired down quite a bit but more concentrated and always excellent. Make sure you visit this hidden gem!
We had the most unique experience today at Chulos. First time going there and im only sorry i didnt know about it sooner. The menu was a breath of fresh air. Chulo's Cafe & Cantina offers high quality Mexican breakfast and lunch in Paso Robles. The food is absolutely delicious, with highlights including the Chile Verde omelette, pancakes, chicken taco salad, and carnitas burrito. Dishes are authentic and appropriately savory and sweet. Portions are generous, served on charming earthenware inspired plates. The ambiance is cozy and beautiful, with a pleasant patio that is one of the most lovely dining environments. Service is convivial, though some reviews note a lack of help, disorganization, or challenges with large groups. Some found the food nothing spectacular, with potatoes tasting frozen and prices overpriced. Sangria and Micelada are available. Parking is no problem at 10:00 am but could be tight on a busy night. The restaurant is kid-friendly with no discernable hazards. Good value for the price.
