Based on the reviews, Black Bear Diner Torrance is one of the best diners still in business, always great for great comfort food with big serving sizes. The food is delicious and fresh, offering hearty home style cooking. Specific meals mentioned include The Grizz, steak with mashed potatoes and broccoli, salmon with mashed potatoes and gravy, chicken and waffles, and wonderful sweet pancakes. The waffles are amazing, and the salads are amazing as well. The service is super friendly and attentive, with absolutely great service and an amazing atmosphere. However, the biscuits and gravy were lacking on the gravy, and the corn muffin was hard and not really edible. The kids menu was very big, and the dinner options were very delicious.
