“I went to Dixon to Pedricks to buy tamales today 12/24/24, but they had sold out (1900 today!!!) But the cashier told me where they buy theirs from:
Chepos in Elmira.
I called to ask if they still had any left, she said they did, and that I could give my name inside and order when I got there so I could take it all in. I ended up with 6 pork, 6 chicken, 6 chile and cheese, a large rice and a large beans and spent a total of $54.00. Tamales are $3.00 a piece, rice and beans $3.00 each for a small or $6.00 each for a large. And EVERYTHING is sold HOT. So if you want to sit in your car and eat a whole ass meal, feel free, you won't be the only one. You can also buy drinks, and I heard another patron talking about their order of enchiladas. I also saw quesadillas and I think burritos on their menu. Next time I will be ordering ahead like a week in advance. They had PLENTY left when I got there after 3:30-4pm. They close at 5 today, idk regular hours.
But these tamales are SABROSO to say the least.

Vegetarian options: I know they have vegetarian tamales.

Parking: Park where you can find it, there's more around the side where the mural is, just don't block the houses that are next door and to the side when you park. Be careful not to block the street. People are usually in and out pretty quickly so if you have to, just wait a couple minutes and a spot will free up.

Kid-friendliness: The food is great, very kid friendly. The employees/owners are so kind and helpful. They also have a dessert tamale, pineapple and raisins.

Wheelchair accessibility: Fully accessible. Flat parking lot, flat doorway, the door isn't automatic, plenty of room for a wheelchair of any size. Parking is quite close, so even if you can't get a handicapped spot (idk if there is more than one), it's still just a few steps to the door and back regardless of where you have to park in their lot. I have mobility issues and had no problems personally.“

“Recently bookmarked Shula's as a spot to try since they had good ratings and crispy birria tacos. Went to Solano County Brewery and to my surprise their food truck was there!! Of course, I got my tacos and hubby got a cheeseburger. Both were absolute fire!! The 3 tacos were big and loaded with juicy, tender meat and cheese, fried to perfection! I was full after 2 and had to save the last 1! The consumé for dipping was on point! Hubby's burger was juicy and tasted as if it had a little bit of a Mexican twist to it which we loved! The fries were crispy and delicious as well and are amazing dipped in the leftover consumé! They were so good that we got a couple mulitas to go and they also did not disappoint, but I do think $4 is a little much for what they are. Overall we were happy with Shula's food and service and will definitely pick up some of their delicious food whenever we see them!“

“We recently had the pleasure of working with Taqueria Mi Mezcal in Fairfield for a team-building event catering for 35 people, and once again, they exceeded our expectations!

Their taco spread was a hit with everyone. Guests enjoyed building their own tacos or opting for delicious nachos with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The menu included juicy asada, tender chicken, and flavorful shrimp, accompanied by four incredible salsas: green, red, pico de gallo, and a tomato-based salsa. “My family and I were downtown and craving Mexican food, and we were supposed to go to Los Reyes, but something was telling us to try this spot instead. So we went, and honestly, it wasn't bad at all. The food was delicious and fresh, and the price was decent. I was skeptical about the menudo because everyone makes it different in Texas and it can have flavors you’re not ready for. Their menudo was great! Reminded me of my dad’s. “This place is a hidden gem. My best friend and I went for lunch during the week . When you walk in the atmosphere is really great. The decor and cleanliness so inviting. They have a beautiful bar and you can see them cooking with an open flame. We sat and were greeted instantly by a very nice waiter , who presented us a pretty menu .The chips and salsa were fantastic. I ordered their long Island ice tea cocktail. It was perfect and I left not feeling jilted for a drink that barely had alcohol. This drink was amazing. I had two crispy tacos with rice and refried beans. Delicious. My best friend had the taco salad which she said was great. The waiter was attentive and the food came out quick. I would DEFINITELY recommend MARIAS TACO AND BAR!

“Not bad at all. I've always noticed this restaurant but never went in till recently. One thing about the food industry is to never judge a restaurant by its location. The price was very decent and the food was fresh and delicious. Inside was clean and full of color. A good selection of beer, too. One thing I would add is they should mount a TV in the eating area when you first enter. Either than that I highly recommend this spot.“

“I usually order with a food app, this was my 2nd time going to get it to go. I recommend ordering ahead of time because I had to wait 25-30 minutes and watched TV and the locals drinking beer out of plastic bottles. BUT it was Worth it. The food is delicious and authentic and I got the Fish Tacos and Frijoles. I usually get the B.A.B. (big a*# burrito), but wanted something light.

Parking: The parking was easy, I parked in front. Please watch out for the Crazy driver's cutting through from Texas to get to Tabor.

“The food was good. Not overwhelming in flavor, but not one would say stay away from. Just not an every weekend spot IMHO. The flavors were appropriate but on the light side. I prefer strong, deep flavors with depth. The buffet had a surprising amount of top shelf items. Fajitas, shrimp, mole, Chile Verde, etc. I liked the fact they had Menudo (best flavor for the meal) on the brunch. That all said, there was not any comfort food to balance out the top end items. Personally, I would have liked to have had some basic items such as Enchiladas, Chile relleno, or tamales. I felt my meal was meat and sauce heavy. When we arrived near 11am there were only 3 tables of patrons and all the buffet dishes were full. Way too much food setout at the beginning. There was a lot of standing around which tells me they can use their time more efficiently to keep things hot and fresh. I expect the 12 o'clock customers would be getting dry and luke warm offerings since when we left, the chafing dishes were pretty much still full. They need to slow roll the offerings to keep them fresh and hot. Asnit was the temperaturedid not excite me. I did like the fact the tortillas were made in-house (it seemed), and I am a fan of thick chips, so good there, none of that thin stuff you find other places. The server miss communicated with drinks for the buffet, but the owner was gracious. Overall, it's not bad, I would mix up the offerings, and with the price being $25.00, add other drinks besides tea coffee and fountain drinks. A good brunch needs a great Aqua Fresca.“

Incredibly warm and friendly customer service. Tasty tacos. Nicely varied salsas and fresh pico. A range of drinks. Checks all the boxes for a quick lunch, take out, or even dinner (as their menu is extensive without being overwhelming). The dining room? It is functional and does the job.

Any time my group is in the area, we will be stopping here. And I would recommend others take the time to discover this place.

Refried beans they use in the burrito are seasoned well too. Overall a good burrito but for the price I’d expect a little more meat.“
