“Oh my gosh. I have been here tons of times over the years. I come often! I have been all over the U.S. and never found better fish and chips than the Olde Ship! Good food, nice people, and great atmosphere! I am lucky that I live close by, but driving a distance would be well worth it. Make sure you try the sticky toffee pudding.“
“I had seen a review of the Hook & Anchor a few weeks ago, and since I was on my own this weekend (daughter was at church camp), I thought I'd give it a try.As you enter the restaurant, you realize that you can order at the counter or just take a seat, and a waitress will get to you. There are only half a dozen tables and one super long table for large groups. This is a first come, first served setup. I intended to get my order to go, so I ordered what the location is known for, the lobster roll and fries, but then I added a side of veggies as well. The roll comes in two variations, the 4oz. Or the 6oz. Keep in mind, the pricing is based on daily fish prices, so it's not cheap, $30+ for the 4oz., $58 for the 6oz the day I went. I'd recommend the 4oz. for your first time unless you luv Lobster and don't mind spending that much for a sandwich. Since it was my first time, I went all out with the 6oz.The sandwich itself, I must admit, is pretty damn good. It's served not on a standard roll per se, but on what is more like a King's Hawaiian roll for hotdogs. It's grilled, so they outside is crispy and a little buttery. The inside is so stuffed that it's almost like they use an ice cream scooper to fill it. There is much delicious ? goodness. Now, they also offer a tangy mayonnaise style sauce, but I'm not sure it's needed.I was very impressed with the sandwich, but the veggies left me wanting by comparison. Maybe that side can be rethought so it does not diminish the sandwich. Now that I have experienced the sandwich I can say definitively that the 4oz is the call, unless your really hungry.I sit here stuffed writing this review, and I'm content with the experience and the food ?. If you like Lobster and want to try something new, this should be a bucket list destination.Parking: The restaurant is at the end of block and the last building on the right if your heading west (towards the beach) the parking entrance is just after the building amd it curves around to the left with many spaces.“
“Ate lunch here, had the pan seared scallops in a garlic butter sauce with fries, roasted corn and a Voodoo American Stout. The portions were perfect, the scallops were perfectly seared . To total meal was good and I would definitely order it again. The menu looks appetizing. I enjoyed the pan seared scallops, but I think on my next visit I'm going to try the clam chowder in a bread bowl or the ahi poke. So many things on the menu that look good. The service was good and out waiter was attentive. The restaurant is open concept with plenty of seating. I was there at 1PM and there were about 8 people inside. I think we just missed the lunch crowd. I would definitely recommend.“
“Hi five to everyone at London Chippy especially to the owner who always provides you with the best customer service and smile! I almost come here just to boost my spirits! Enough of that let's talk food! These fish and chips are so flaky and so dam good it's unreal! The shrimp basket is for sure a solid 10/10 ! Thanks for making my lunches that much more awesome! So glad you are walking distance from my office!“
“Great place to hang out and get a taste of what the ocean offers. I highly recommend the nacho. Also try their drinks. I have visited a couple of times now, and so far everything I tried is great. The staff are young and helpful. I really enjoy having lunch here. For dinner check the hour before visiting. I believe they close earlier than expected. Once again great seafood, great drinks, wonderful staff and enjoyable ambiance. Definitely will be coming back soon.“
“First time eating here and will certainly continue doing so. Wow! All the food we ordered was delicious like it tastes more from a high-end restaurant or really great home cooked meal. In fact it tastes better than some high-end places. The battered fish were huge and the fish was moist and plump. I think it was a whitefish.“
“Really enjoyed the food here. The fish was freshly fried and the batter was nice, thin, and not not too heavy. Price was reasonable. Excellent customer service.Vegetarian options: For the most part, nonexistent unless you eat only fries, onion rings, and hush puppies.“
“Food is always awesome only thing is when I requested to have French fries in separate pkg the automated system says that option not available. Sooo fries were a lil soggy but that's it!Vegetarian options: Yes I saw that is an optionParking: 10 right in front other spots available in close proximityKid-friendliness: Sure no problem ?Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp walkway“
“California Fish Grill has a variety of seafood dishes that are good and reasonably priced. It is fairly simple fare but well cooked and tasty.Dietary restrictions: Obviously good for non red meat eaters.Kid-friendliness: They have a couple of kids meals.“
“This place has great service. The food and flavor was very amazing. The staff is so friendly and very attentive they constantly check on the customer. I prefer these place before any other seafood spot. And they give free fries per table. The ambiance's is very relaxing and I enjoyed hearing the cooks sing. The vibe was it!“
“Food was good, the salmon plate was tasty, the food prep time was fine. I would have preferred the room temperature warmer. The doors were left open at 7:00 pm, no heaters, I had to go back to the car to get jackets to be able to eat our meals. Our only complaint.“
“Good quality tasty fish for a decent price. You can have a good bowl of White New England Clam Chowder for about 7 dollars. The most expensive plate, I think is below $20. The grilled Zucchini is a nice touch as a side order, also the beans are a very tasty alternative to french fries. The place is often crowded but we still managed to enjoy a family conversation around the dinner table.“
“Every time I am in Tustin working in the area I eat here! I really love their lobster roll, as well as their shrimp roll. This place isn't anything fancy since it's in the mess hall hidden within work buildings. It takes a bit to get your food since it's made fresh, and the service is decent. The menu is limited, which makes sense since it is seafood. If I worked in Tustin, I couldn't eat here every day because it's expensive, but as a treat, I really enjoy eating here..“
