“Surprisingly really loved the crunch roll ! The shrimp on top was fried in the same seasoned batter & really added a nice taste! The pieces of sole I ordered were very thin however i think If i didn't request for them to be "fried hard" it would've been ok, so that's on me. Would def try again :)“

“I think most restaurants use some kind of inexpensive fish with the thought that once it's breaded and fried, no one will care. But the Slow Bell's haddock was thick, moist, and cooked just right. The fries were so good bare that I felt guilty using ketchup.“

“I'm giving this place 4/5. The chicken had a Cajun spice that they put on the outside of the breading. Over the chicken wasn't the best but good. The line was kinda long but the food was affordable. I had a 2 pc, small Cajun rice, small soda and sweet potato pie for about $9. The sweet potato pie was great! I'll be coming back for sure, however this is located in the hood.“

One comment is that the lady seems to think it’s funny and call out numbers that aren’t correlated to the order. It also takes really long to get your order almost 30 minutes. “I don't understand all the bad reviews. I have NEVER had a bad experience here. The customer service is always on point and the food is just perfect! Never once had a bad experience here. The outside is sketchy..but that whole little part is lol. I've never been inside so I can't say much about that lol only have ever been through the drive through. They are so nice. Food is always packed nice and they give you everything you need. The wait is to be expected because everything comes out hot and fresh! Truly gonna miss this location when we move..but will be back just for the chow mein :)“

“Very good. Google Maps said I had not visited in 4 years. Ouch. Used to visit several times a year. The taste and size of the fish portions are the same, but I also agree there is a bit less fish inside the batter. But what are you going to do. Getting less for more has been a thing since forever. And I've tried other fish and chip places and none can match the taste and crunchy yummy batter. I like salt too but this fish has never had much. I also love the Zucchini and mushrooms battered up and fried. Chips have never been anything special, just frozen crinkle fries. I don't know what "authentic" fish and chips should taste like but H Salt has good food. Need spice? That's what the malt vinegar is for, or my favorite the Tarter sauce. Go ahead and double/triple dip. Good stuff.“
“When I say the catfish and macaroni salad is ???? believe me. Best fish market I've had in long while and the prices are very reasonable during this time. I would say the only thing I don't care for is the lunch specials not being available all day, but the owners are lovely ppl tho so I approve with a A++“
