The Egyptian food is absolutely delicious – authentic, flavorful, and feels just like home. 😋 The portions are very generous, and the prices are really affordable, which makes it even better. The service was excellent; the staff were so kind, welcoming, and always smiling, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for real Egyptian cuisine. “Everything we tried was a 10/10! The combo plate we chose had beef kofta and kabab and it was incredibly tender and perfectly medium rare. Also came with two sides (so amazing that you get to choose) The salad + potato salad was so refreshing. 🥗 The chicken wrap was crispy on the edges, juicy, and packed with spices. 🌯 It pairs well with the garlic sauce. (put it on everything) 🧄 I loved the dessert which had baklava with pistachio sauce! 🍽 the staff is friendly, and you get a massive plate of food for a great price.“

“I used to eat there, but I recently discovered that new management is now running the business. The food tastes better, and the menu options have expanded. I've visited the place three weeks in a row, and my stomach definitely appreciates it. The Doner, Kebab, Lahmacun, and their homemade lemonade come highly recommended.“

“Kebab Kurry Express is one of my new favorite go to restaurants. If you're looking for delicious flavors and meats, this place hits the spot. The workers are also very friendly, and there's some seating outside.

The Chapli Kebab was delicious, flavorful ground beef patties served over some good rice and salad that was also tasty. The chicken platter was just as impressive, with tender, moist chicken that was served on some pita alongside hummus, salad, and fries (these were really good too!).

Pro Tip: Do not skip the Chapli Kebab! It was recommended by one of the workers, and she didn't lead me a stray.“

“Fast and friendly service. I like the current loyalty points system- so much easier than hunting for an app, login info, rewards, erc. All you need is your phone number. I got the protein bowl with chicken and it was excellent. Nice and bright inside too. They do school fundraisers which brought me out to lunch today, and the experience was well worth it.“

“One of the best Chinese BBQ restaurants in Los Angeles! Food tastes great, the services are excellent, environment is nice and clean! The other store in Rowland Heights is also wonderful. You even can practice your BBQ skills there! Great places to hang with friends and family!“

“Overall, I had a good experience at Abu Omar Halal. The service was excellent, friendly, fast, and deserving of 5/5.

The shawarma itself was good, but there are two areas that could make a big difference. The garlic sauce was decent (3/5), but it could be richer and more flavorful. The biggest disappointment was the pickles (0/5). I highly recommend making the pickles in-house using an authentic Mediterranean recipe instead of the current ones.

With a better garlic sauce and authentic homemade pickles, the shawarma would be on another level. I hope they consider these improvements because the service and overall quality already provide a strong foundation.“
