“Phenomenal food and service! We came tonight for Valentine’s day and it was packed, but absolutely perfect service. Our entrees were the tandoori chicken, sagh paneer, and chicken khorma, and the medium + heat was definitely quite spicy but delicious. Our server was Abu and him and the crew were on top of their game the whole time. Super friendly and I can’t think of how it could have been better. Can’t wait to be back!“

“Food is great. Service is friendly.Found a sticker on my bell pepper. It makes me wonder if they washed their veggies before cooking because had they washed it they would have found it.I’m sure the heat killed ant bacteria on it but still. Wash your food before cooking!!!!“

“This place has amazing food. I came here when they first opened about a year and a half ago and it was very fresh. Lamb is very tender and tasty. Chicken Tikka is flavorful and you can taste the chicken was grilled before adding the sauces. The eggplant has a smoky flavor that I loved. Customer service is very good. Smiles are always a plus before enjoying a great meal. ThantsVegetarian options: Have tried the smoked eggplant, chana masala and palak paneer, outstanding.“

“Absolutely my favorite Indian place in Los Angeles. Staff are super nice and service is quick. The food is absolutely delicious. I can't stop myself from ordering from here at least a couple times each month. Small seating area, so mostly takeout-oriented. Order through their website to avoid unnecessary fees!“

“I was traveling to LA from India and after weeks of eating other cuisines I craved for Indian food. This place serves tasty Indian food. We had chana masala, lamb biriyani, tandoori roti and mango lassi. We weren’t happy with their masala chai and they were generous enough to not charge it.Good service and tasty food.“

“One of my favorite local spots!Curry Zone is a proper mom-and-pop Indian restaurant. Mostly take-out, but there is also some seating if you'd like to dine in. The owners are very kind and friendly, and it's always a pleasure to talk to them. The restaurant serves both standard Indian combo-plates and made-to-order entrees. Everything I've tried so far has been delicious. For me, the two highlights have been the Butter Chicken and the Chicken Tikka. Both are excellently seasoned and balanced with amazing flavor. The Butter Chicken is pure comfort food with just a touch of fire. The Chicken Tikka, piping hot out of the tandoor, is bold and spicy, rich with smokiness and complex spices. If you enjoy the flavor of goat, be sure to try a goat curry. The stewed meat is moist and tender, in a fantastic sauce.“

“This is one of my favorite lunch spots. The Tandoori chicken lunch is the best bang for your buck I know of. The chicken is savory and grilled perfectly, balanced well with the side of spinach and chicken tikka masala. Service is great as well.“

“I wish I could give them 4.5 stars but it's not an option. And let's be real- there is zero ambiance here. I wouldn't want to dine in. But the owner is super friendly and the food is delicious. And that's what it's all about right? My family ordered a few mains, plus apps and sides and every single thing was tasty. At first I thought the portions were a little small for the money, but those containers held a lot more than they looked! Even without ordering a ton we had a couple of small lunches the next day. I suggest ordering from the Yelp menu which is much more extensive than the website menu. We will definitely be back and would absolutely recommend to anyone who enjoys the flavors of India!“

“Flavor of India has some of the best Indian food in LA. Their cooking is authentic, servings are generous, and the staff has always been helpful and courteous. I look forward to any excuse to take friends to Flavor of India for tikka masala and their amazing naan. Get the vegetable pakora!!!! It’s the best I’ve ever had, they take the time to dip each piece into besan batter, it makes the pakora crunchy and tasty.“

“Star of India dazzles with its vegetarian fare, making every dish a celebration of flavor. The Paneer Coconut Masala is a standout - cubes of soft paneer bathed in a luxuriously creamy coconut sauce, masterfully spiced to create a harmonious blend of sweet and savory. Each spoonful is a testament to the rich, aromatic treasures of Indian cuisine. Accompanied by their signature fluffy Naan, this meal is not just food, but a voyage through India’s vibrant culinary heritage. Dining here is more than a treat; it’s an unforgettable experience of authentic, heartwarming flavors.“
“I've ordered from here several times and each time was fantastic! I'm usually a Chicken Tina Masala guy, but I am now an equal Mango Chicken guy. I must say they make the best Sag Paneer I've ever had. Super friendly folks at the restaurant too. Can't wait for the grand reopening (May 2022) this is my go to in Sherman Oaks and I've tried them all.“

“Decided to visit the Sherman Oaks location after trying the restraunt at Studio City. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and atmosphere that sets the perfect mood! I tried the chicken biryani, chicken kurma, and lamb tikka. I loved it all, but my favorite was chicken biryani. The flavors were flavoring and exceeded my expectations. Definitely stop by if you’re near.“

“This was a good place for Indian food, despite being in a very turisty location. The portions are large, the quality and authenticity is there. Sometimes Indian food can be greasy, this was not the case, it had the right amount of flavor and fat to it. The server could have been a bit more proactive, but all in all it was a good place.“

“My partner and I were looking for other Indian food restaurants around the area for a change and are glad our risk paid off.The staff were very friendly and attentive. We got the meal for two which included the lentil soup, chicken tandoori, veggie samosas, naan, desert, plus our personal choices which were the chicken balti and spinach paneer. We couldn’t find fault with any of our food and left feeling stuffed! We would recommend pairs of 2 consider doing the same.“

“This place is the 1st Indian restaurant to make food that is tasty and non spicy! A real game changer for me as I can't handle spicy food at all. And although that did an extraordinary service to adjust that to suit me, it didn't lack flavour and authenticity. Delicious dishes, generous portions and lovely staff ?“

“We have gotten takeout from Taj Mahal of India almost every week for years. Their prices are the same today as they were before the pandemic, which is incredible. Fantastic quality and taste for the price. We get the Butter Chicken (Chicken Makhani) and Tikke Masala and garlic naan and it is $29.00 (without tip).Give them your business“

“Best Indian food (especially their vegetarian menu) in Los Angeles. Their flavors are so rich and unlike any of the dime a dozen Indian restaurants in LA. This may be due to their North Indian recipes that differ from the common South Indian flavors that are in most restaurants. Their food is simply incomparable and I’ve grown up eating Indian food from all the local hot spots. If you’re unsure of where to go- you MUST try this place.Vegetarian options: Vegetable Korma is a must!“

“Delicious food! Met a friend here for Saturday lunch which was a buffet. The buffet had plenty of variety and was 50% vegetarian which pleased us as we don’t eat meat. Everything was fresh and each dish had its own unique flavor. Things were flavorful and the spices are used to enhance the food not overtake it. There is chai on tap! The naan were excellent made to order and piping hot. 3 desert choices and all the pickles and chutneys. I highly recommend this restaurant. I’m very fussy about Indian food and this place is one of the better ones I’ve tried in LA. There aren’t that many!!Very friendly owners and wait staff.Parking: Parking lot in the back of restaurant. Free.“

“The food is delicious, infact differently delicious. The same Indian dishes taste differently spiced at this restaurant. Service is very friendly yet professional. The place although I find it a little shady with all those colors combos but it's upto the individual's choice. Overall a good restaurant. Also, home delivery is available directly from the restaurant in nearby areas. That's the best point.“

“Hidden little gem in a plaza that looks uninviting on the outside but very cozy on the inside and serves authentic, large portion dishes. I ordered for pick up on Uber eats as they had a BOGO promotion on a variety of different combos. So, my boyfriend and I chose the chicken tikka masala that came with plain naan for only $18 for 2. The taste matched the amazing price point. The sauce was super rich and creamy with a hint of sweetness + tanginess and medium heat then topped with the well balanced spices that come along with Indian dishes. However, it was the service that caught my attention and triggered my desire to promote the business even more. I want to say it was the owner that had such a welcoming & kind character to him. When I ordered from here before, the combos used to come with drinks so I assumed the same with ordering this time around. We asked if they had forgotten our sodas and he softly explained "oh, I'm sorry. That was the old promotion we used to do but I don't mind giving you guys sodas. Thanks for being returning customers" with a sweet smile.Don't forget to support small businesses - this one is definitely a big worth it in my books!“

“The service was questionable, but the food was outstanding. Some of the best Indian cuisine I have had... Ever!We had the vegetarian dinner for two: naan, fresh out of the oven, delicious sag paneer and malai kofta, fluffy rice, fresh salad, and gulab jamun for dessert. A great meal for the price... but I have to admit that the Manhattan cocktails did not match the dinner. It didn't really matter in the end, though.“

“We had a more than exceptional date night here. The service made us feel at home. Everyone was so hospitable and patient in assisting with going through the menu. The pricing is the absolute best in Los Angeles for the quantity and quality. The spices will remind you of home if you’re familiar with the style of cuisine or anything similar. The heat level is amazing and it can be adjusted to however you specify. Again as I said seriously the best hidden gem of LA.Vegetarian options: Phenomenal vegetarian opening even some soups, like the lentil soup which is amazing. They have the largest vegetarian selection we’ve seen.Dietary restrictions: My other cat gave any carbs, our server worked through this smoothly all the way down to the freshly made mango lassi.“

“We were looking for an authentic desi food, and loved it. The place or ambience is a fast food place one, more for a carry out orders. . We ordered Goat Paya curry, Goat biryani, Chicken biryani, naan, mango lassi( really tasty), and Mixed grill. The proportion size is great. Courtesy of the owner, Karim bhai was superb, served us complimentary Ras malai. Their chai is good too. They have fresh samosas too.Tomas at the front cashier counter is also a kind lady. Overall, great experience.Pricing is reasonable too.“

“This place looks great when peering inside through the window. The food is very good, but not quite top-rank for me. I love their chicken vindaloo and the tandori. Service seems to be missing. I sat down with one guest and no one came around for over 5 minutes to check on us. Once the rest of our party arrived and we were served, we were only check-on once during the meal. No water refills; no is there any else, at least not until it was almost bill time. This is still a great place to eat.“

“Best. Indian. Food!!! You're a veggie?! Get the veggie meal so you can get apps, dishes and dessert! You can request for some of the items to be vegan but not all. One of them is the the malai kofta but it's soooo good. The samosas are fat and filling. Love it!!“

“I loved the food here. I thought it was full of flavor! The chef puts fresh herbs on top of the dishes and I noticed they had a slightly different spice palate than most Indian food- maybe the Mumbai influence? The only tough part is the price- but makes sense for a celebrity chef. I was very impressed to see the picture of him and the King of Pop!!“

“I was a little worried because there weren't many reviews on Yelp. Checked Google, there are more (good ones!). Stopped in because the menu looked great. We had a vegetarian dinner for 2. “I was so excited to see that my favorite spot from Artesia has opened a location closer to me. Absolutely any dish from here is so delicious both veg and non veg. The street style veg or chicken noodles are a MUST try, you can order any spice levels, and gotta say flavor took me back to my hometown. Chicken 65, Manchurian any type, both Chicken and Lamb biryani, garlic naan, malai kofta, fantastic taste. I always come back for more. Please keep it up guys!“
