“This Nigerian food spot is hands down the best in town! Every dish on the menu is absolutely addictive. So I heard that it’s not just a favorite among Nigerian celebrities but also African celebrities visiting LA. Finally had the chance to try it myself today, and it lived up to the hype! Saw even an Asian woman ordering, which shows how amazing the food is lol Despite living far, I finally made the trip and was thoroughly impressed, especially by the signature pepper goat! Omg it is sooooo good! And soooo Tender! I’d say order that as a side plate! The rice, stew fish, the soups! Got me two types with my fufu! Like everything is top notch. Couldn't resist trying the pepper goat pie too! I might as well! Hahaha lol Ended up ordering enough to last me till Monday The customer service is excellent, with friendly staff. Check out YouTube reviews! They also got great reviews on there!. If you're in LA, don't miss out on Pepper Goat! You might even run into the owner, who's incredibly nice and welcoming! ???????????? I'm definitely planning to spend every other weekends or so ordering from Pepper Goat Kitchen! It'll be a great break from cooking on Saturdays and Sundays hahaha ??? Thanks guys! Definitely coming back ????“

Pan Seared Goat Barlis Plate

“I can't believe I haven't done a review of this place yet. They do a rotating menu that features different cuisines on a monthly basis. I think the first time I went, they had Fiijian food and the second time they had Haitian. Their classic menu includes Somalian, Egyptian, Kenyan. They hire immigrant chefs that highlight their cultures which I thought was pretty dang cool.I got their pita chips with Baba ghanoush. They deep fry their pita bread but also give unfried pita bread if you prefer. But their pita chips are SO GOOD. it's like... crunchy but also chewy. kind of the best of both worlds. I got a lamb stew one time. or was it goat... It came with rice and a giant lamb shank or something. Bone was still on... kinda cut open and the marrow was still inside! Hell yeah. It was full of flavor. Lots of spice to it but not spice-y. I'm thinking maybe it was the Egyptian smothered lamb shank now that I think about it. I remember also trying some of the sambusas. Deep fried triangles filled with spiced, amazing, piping hot goodness. I love that they allow you to mix and match whatever filling you want... unlike other restaurants that make you order them in batches of 3 or whatever.Service was great. We had THE Christian Davis serving us, bringing us all the plates, describing what everything was and how it was made. An extremely pleasant experience... all for a great cause.“

“We love this place! Our family has been eating at, and enjoying, Moun of Tunis for many years. Ben, an amiable Tunisian, is still the owner and Paul, a very friendly and accommodating fellow, is still the principal server. The food quality is consistently excellent and the quantity of food served is mind-blowing, but the prices are still quite reasonable. It's a mystery to me how they do that. And the belly dancers are quite entertaining. Highly recommended!“

“I recently dined at ILÉ, and it was nothing short of an incredible experience. From the moment we stepped in, we were immersed in a culinary journey that intertwined the rich tapestry of West African culture with the exquisite flavors of each dish. Chef Eros is not just a master in the kitchen but also a captivating storyteller. Each course was paired with a part of a story, making the meal an enlightening narrative experience. The storytelling added a layer of depth and connection to the food, which was beautifully presented and bursting with authentic flavors. The ambiance of the restaurant complemented the dining experience, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It's rare to find a place where the food and the stories behind it are equally compelling. ILÉ is a gem that offers just that, making it a memorable experience that goes beyond the palate. Highly recommend for anyone looking to explore the essence of West African cuisine and the art of storytelling by a truly gifted chef.“
