MadeWest Brewing Co Brewery • $$
668 E Harbor Blvd, Ventura

“Brewery sits on a pier and looks out at the ocean. There is a beach playground just below if you have kids that you can let them run around at. Food is served on level 1 and beer on level 2. Beer that we sampled was okay. It was nice to drink out on their patio with a view of the Pacific Ocean.“

MadeWest Brewing Company Brewery • $
1744 Donlon St, Ventura

“I'm a big fan of MadeWest Brewing Company! Their Hazy IPA has become a go-to beer for me no matter the occasion. So, I was very excited to check out their brewery in Ventura when the opportunity presented itself. My experience here did not disappoint. I found this location to be fairly low-key, providing the perfect atmosphere for an afternoon drink. Service was nice and friendly. Being a big Hazy IPA fan, I can be pretty picky about the taste and quality. That has never been a concern with MadeWest, as they consistently serve one of the best Hazy IPAs out there. Go ahead and check this place out!“

“We were so lucky to be at Transmission Brewery at the same time Dave England from Jackass was there. My daughter and I had the honor of meeting him. We are big fans of the Jackass Movies and Transmission Brewery. It looked like he really enjoyed his beer of choice and got one to go. Thanks Transmission ???? and Dave for all the great movies. Made our day!“

“Leashless Brewing is a great little place that brews some awesome beers and seltzers.I am Not a seltzer drinker but there is something in the Mosa and Strawjito Seltzer that keep us coming back. The TriFin and syncopation are also two awesome beers you gotta come by and try. Whenever we come to Ventura or come through we have to stop and get beers to go.“

Ventura Coast Brewing Company Brewery • $
76 S Oak St, Ventura

“This is a great neighborhood craft brewery to stop by when in downtown Ventura. We love the rotating selection of beers ( many times offering a sour as well). We enjoy the relaxed vibe; indoor and outdoor seating, along with the friendly staff to help with beer selections. There are often food trucks ( the schedule is in their website). We especially love when the taco truck is there on the weekends.“

Topa Topa Brewing Co. Brewery • $$
104 E Thompson Blvd, Ventura

“Fun little brewery spot tucked up to the freeway. The beer was outstanding and the customer service was awesome as well. They had a very large selection of beers on tap to try. Small outdoor patio to sit at, opened up a large area inside with pool tables and arcade machines. Had some snack foods available but nothing really substantial to eat. If you want to eat they will let you get a pizza next door and bring it in to have with your beer. I’d say of the four breweries we tried this weekend these guys had the best beer by far.“

Poseidon Brewing Company Brewery • $$
5777 Olivas Park Dr Unit S, Ventura

“Can't believe I haven't written a review for Poseidon. It's a nice and fun place to go too. Especially if there's an event going on. I primarily go when there's events and I will say it gets pretty busy. Plenty of space even though at times it might not feel that way. Haha. During events they even block off their back area and set up tables which is nice. Plenty of space back there for my little one to walk and run. They don't have food. They do have food trucks from time to time. You would just need to see their schedule/instagram account if they have someone. They have food vendors when they do events which is why I primarily go then. I would say there's plenty of parking. They are in an industrial part. You might just have to walk a bit. Now about their beer. I drink IPAs. I believe I have had all of them. They are very delicious. Grapefruit is my favorite. Like how they have a variety of different kinds to choose from though. Their Oktoberfest one was really good. Loved the boot. Overall, I come about once a month sometimes more. My family and I have enjoyed coming. We will continue to go.“

“Always a good time at Rincon. Their smash burger is to die for. We came by a little later than normal, and found out they were closing at 8. Thankfully, our great waitress Loren was so accommodating and helpful to get our last call in and allowed us to finish our dinner without it feeling rushed. Truly great service. Thank you!“
