I've been traveling to Ventura for work lately and have quickly become a big fan of MadeWest, particularly this location on the pier. It's a fantastic spot that overlooks the ocean, and you can't beat sipping on one of their IPA's while the sun goes down. There's also a great seafood restaurant downstairs where you can order food to go and bring it back up to eat. Highly recommend stopping by, and I'll be back for sure.
One of two locations.This is a great reason to enjoy the spectacular view off of the Ventura pier. The service is good, clean restrooms down stairs and food is available. They sell their own local brew and have one to please any beer lover.Come for the Brie and stay for the beer:

Brewery sits on a pier and looks out at the ocean. There is a beach playground just below if you have kids that you can let them run around at. Food is served on level 1 and beer on level 2. Beer that we sampled was okay. It was nice to drink out on their patio with a view of the Pacific Ocean.
