“I had an opportunity to stop in Victorville California for a brief visit with a longtime friend, and it was recommended I have breakfast at Molly Brown’s Country Cafe before leaving. It’s a small place that specialises in all sorts of breakfast foods made with real ingredients, but one thing that immediately caught my attention was the description of their omelettes. Omg… this is the Spanish Omelette! What a great place with good food and wonderful staff who complement the experience. It’s awesome and well worth the visit.”

Tokyo, like the city, Glowing in the dusk of polluted desert skies along a busy street 2 hours from nowhere. Dining alone I walked to the bar, may I was in order. “Ichiban, tall.” The chef, Kazu, careful not to be seen in his quick study of customers, cleaning the skin from a salmon filet, sharp is his knife, asks if I’m ready. I order off the menu, otoro and uni sushi. “If you have it.” He does. It’s glorious. I ask for a plate of sashimi, his choice, “I like everything from tamago to saba” indicating my adventurous side despite my American heritage. Again he obliges. Textures, flavors, chile, wasabi, playing with my senses so delightful. Im floating now in the ether, buying a beer for the chef which he opens to a cheers, the universal language on a plate, a shared emotion, his love for craft apparent. I almost forgot my jacket by the time I cleared my plate. I never the question the price of the experience, as it is priceless. And this man, in this place, at this time in my life is worth every single penny. 2 thumbs up, a cheers and an applause. Thank you chef. “In all honesty, I wasn't that impressed with this place. I did like the small, friendly ambience. I have no real complaints with the food either, though my kids and I all had breakfast items - which isn't hard to do. The only real issue I had was with the service. Everybody in there is middle-aged and older women - which, itself, doesn't bother me at all. In fact, I'd like to think older servers are likely to also be more experienced. But that didn't seem to be the case here. One of my kids asked for Dr Pepper, but the server was stuck on the idea of him wanting Coca Cola, for reasons unknown. I think she had to be told 3x that one kid wanted Coca Cola and the other wanted Dr Pepper before she got it right. When the same kid later wanted his Dr Pepper refilled, another server again got stuck on the idea of him wanting Coca Cola, and needing to be corrected more than once before she and my son were on the same page with what he wanted.

Another minor annoyance with the service was the fact my toast was put in front of one of my kids instead of me. Asking who had the toast first, then putting it in the correct spot the first time works wonders. One of the toast pieces was cut diagonally, but not right in half like you'll normally see done at most restaurants. It was more like 2/3 and 1/3 pieces. It seems petty, but it's easier to get equal amounts of jelly on both halves when they're both cut to the same size. The other piece of toast had evidence of somebody attempting to slice it, but it wasn't actually cut in half. If the preparer is going to be that lazy and careless, why bother even trying to slice it in the first place? Just give me two regular pieces of toast like I do for myself when I'm at home.

Last minor annoyance with the service was the fact the server was more focused on policing up our used plates and silverware than on taking care of our payment when my card was already sitting on the table waiting to be able to pay. It's only a few minutes difference in time spent there, but attention or inattention to smaller details like that make a difference between getting a bigger tip or a smaller tip, and also between convincing me to want to come back or not at all. In this case, I just wasn't impressed enough to be convinced that I'd want to come back.

As for Thai food...I love Thai food, and am curious to know how that part of their menu is. But my wife and I have long had a strong preference for Thai Lotus, near the corner of Bear Valley Rd and Hesperia Rd, over any other other Thai restaurant in the area that we've tried. I've been to numerous Thai restaurants over the years, and Thai Lotus is actually my favorite of all of them. Considering that, I just wasn't impressed enough with the food or service at Bosco's to even want to take the time to give their Thai food a chance when I already know I'll regularly get great food and service from a different Thai restaurant in town.”

“We visited Cracker Barrel in VV and the service was FANTASTIC!! This by far is always the best CB we have visited. Everyone is also so friendly, and we never wait too long for service. Jessi N and Kayli were both our servers and were sweet. The manager Ellis came by and checked on us, and we do notice him doing it every visit. Definitely looks like a great manager.”

Always a pleasant dining experience. Absolutely love the relaxing atmosphere, and classical music. We came today for Sunday brunch, and it was wonderful. Our server, Kacey was awesome in every way possible from beginning to end. The food was marvelous. Never any skimping on the portions, while maintaining very fair prices! “We were driving from LA to Vegas and happened to stop by this restaurant because we love Italian food—what a pleasant surprise! With no expectations, we were absolutely blown away by the incredible food, warm hospitality, and cozy ambiance.

Everything is made fresh daily in the kitchen, and you can taste the quality in every bite. The meatball sandwich was outstanding—tender, flavorful meatballs encased in a rich, savory homemade perfectly spiced tomato sauce that’s clearly made with care on a great roll. The Chicken Parmesan was equally amazing—crispy yet tender chicken, melty cheese, and that same delicious sauce over al dente spaghetti.

We also tried the wings (excellent!) and finished with a cannoli that had one of the best cream fillings we’ve ever tasted—light, sweet, and unforgettable.

The atmosphere is welcoming and filled with great photos of Sicily, where the owner was born, adding an extra touch of authenticity and charm. The staff and owner were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home.

Surprisingly good doesn’t even begin to describe it—we’ll absolutely be back. This is homemade Italian cuisine at its finest! Highly recommended!”

“This was our first time trying Mimi’s Café in Apple Valley, and we had such a great experience! We ordered the Crabcake Benedict and decided to share it — our waiter was incredibly nice and thoughtful. He even offered to split the dish onto separate plates for us, which made everything so convenient and enjoyable. The food was fresh and flavorful, and the service made us feel right at home. The restaurant was clean and comfortable, and I have to say — the bathroom was spotless, which is always a good sign of a well-managed place. We’re so glad we stopped in and will definitely be coming back. A great first impression all around!”

“It is a typical Carl's Jr. establishment. I have been at this joint many times, while visiting my family in High Desert. The meals, that I would order, were quite delicious. At the same time, they were not on the expensive side. The wait lines, usually, were not long. Furthermore, there was ample of space to sit down, and enjoy a meal. At the same time, the place was quite clean. Definitely, I will visit this place again. Of course, I will only visit, after the pandemic is over. I have many good memories, eating or ordering meals, with my family members!”

“My grandma loves this place and she is very picky. The atmosphere is cozy and clean. Perfect for family, a friend's gathering, or a date. Service is excellent, they warmly welcome us in busy times and slow days. The servers check to make sure we are satisfied and if we need anything periodically but they do not pester. There is a tasty shisito pepper appetizer on the house and the food comes quickly. Every dish I have had is fresh, delicious and beautifully prepared. This family business puts in the extra effort. You can really tell their heart goes into their work and taste the love in the meals they serve.”

I can say that I've never had a Pansit with as much variety of veggies that was as balanced with the meat portion without being overwhelmed by either. This has been by far my favorite Pansit I've had to date. . But the Lumpia.... not just veggies and rice noodles. These have MEAT inside! Fluffy, flavored, savory meat and veggies that with their sauce (I dipped a few in the Beef Kaldereta, won't lie, I LOVE that kick!) that sweet & sour with that kick.... I'm drooling again just thinking about it. . This is a FANTASTIC hole in the wall that should be tried by everyone at least once. There is something for EVERYONE here!”

“We visited Cracker Barrel in VV and the service was FANTASTIC!! This by far is always the best CB we have visited. Everyone is also so friendly, and we never wait too long for service. Jessi N and Kayli were both our servers and were sweet. The manager Ellis came by and checked on us, and we do notice him doing it every visit. Definitely looks like a great manager.”

“I tried the deluxe breakfast today and found out that they have a new deluxe breakfast with a small slice of steak comes with butter biscuits it was actually very good it came with grilled onions it had a good flavor but the onions was just a little much took some off the steak was perfect very tender and I was quite surprised it has the stake the biscuit the hash browns in the pancakes good combination and I was surprised .....
