My parents knew I love Italian sandwiches so they picked me up a sandwich from here. The sandwiches are really large here with delicious, fresh, Italian meats and ingredients. The sandwich for me last two meals no joke. And I'm a pretty big person. My parents seem to be a fan as well. And I am in agreement. I very much enjoyed my sandwich from this place. I grew up with Little Lucca in SSF - the gold standard and I've yet to find anything in the Diablo area that can compare. Genova has nice imported items but the deli is nothing to write home about. The bottom of my Dutch crunch bread was soggy. The wait is ridiculous. There should also be a way to skip the deli line if you're just trying to buy non-deli items. Just had Genova for the first time and I must say, it was DELICIOUS! I had the mixed Italian on a white roll.. and everything about it was so fresh. From the deli meat, to the freshly baked bread, even the lettuce was refreshing !! Def 10 outta 10. I'll be back for sure.
