“We ordered the Skewers Mixed Grill (Mshakkal) from Aladdin Jr Restaurant and Cafe in Covina through DoorDash and it was absolutely delicious. The portion size is incredible — it says it serves 2–3 people, but honestly it easily fed four of us with leftovers. Everything was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor.
The meats were tender, juicy, and well-seasoned, and the variety in the mixed grill makes it perfect for sharing. The rice and sides complemented the skewers really well and everything tasted fresh and authentic.
Another thing we really appreciated was the packaging. Our order arrived neatly packed and still warm, which makes such a difference when ordering delivery.
We’ve ordered from here multiple times and they’re consistently good, and the portions always leave us with leftovers for the next day (which taste just as great!).
The only thing we wish is that they offered their own delivery, because we would definitely order even more often. But even through DoorDash, it’s totally worth it.

“I had placed a takeout order through the app and it gave me the quickest option to pick up in 15 minutes but I purposefully added extra time and chose to pick up in 30 minutes.

When I arrived 30 minutes later, my order was still not ready because they had run out of falafel. Despite the mishap, Rachael was the one who assisted me and handled the situation professionally with great care and understanding. She took time to discuss the matter and gave me options, but even more than that, she showed kindness and made me feel seen as a customer.

Even in negative situations like this, customer service always goes a long way and it's easy to forgive a mistake when you are met with kindness and respect and when action is taken to rectify the situation. I will be returning :)“

“My family and I were looking for a restaurant that serves halal food on our way home. We found this on google maps and had minimal expectations.
Honestly, we were glad we stopped here, We loved it! The gentleman who worked their was super kind and friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable and pleased. So i would give the service 20 out of 10 !
We had kebbeh, lamb chops, and chicken tawook. Kebbeh was served super hot and crispy. Yum.
The other plates were delicious but there is a room for improvement. I would have prefered my tawook to be a little more juicier. But the flavor was their and I would order that again, no doubt.
They also provided us with lentil soup as an extra (probably coz it's ramadan?) And it was a super nice touch. Loved it.

“We ordered the spicy hummus, garlic fries, beef shawarma, babakenush?, and cauliflower. My friend saw the baclava and had to try it. So we started with desser. The pistachio was very crispy and chewy and was my friends favorite. The walnut was sweet and chewy which was my favorite. Everything was absolutely delicious! The spicy hummus had a little kick at the beginning but as we ate we didn't taste the kick anymore. The cauliflower is lightly fried and so freaking delicious! I ate it by itself or with some hummus. My friend ate it with the babakanush and some cauliflower sauce and was in love. I tried her babakanush. I don't like eggplant but this was really delicious! Had a lovely garlic flavor that was slightly addicting. The garlic fries was just fries sprinkled with garlic powder but dipped it in the hummus and it was good. The pitas were really good too. I could've eaten more if I wasn't so full. But the beef shawarma was freaking AMAZING!!!!! We both said this was the best Mediterranean food we've ever had. I said no tomatoes to my beef shawarma which I'm glad I did. The flavor was absolutely amazing without it. Definitely 10/10 no complaints at all. And service was awesome too! “We were originally planning to meet at 37.2 Degree Café & Curry, but we didn’t realize they’re closed on Sundays. So we had to find a replacement. This kebab spot next door caught our attention and looked legit, so we decided to give it a try.

The place was fairly busy when we walked in, and the staff let us know there would be about a 20-minute wait for food. Since we were mainly there to hang out and catch up, we didn’t mind waiting and sat down. The interior has a very ethnic vibe. There’s no physical menu. You have to scan a QR code to view it.

We each ordered a plate, and honestly, we didn’t even notice how long the wait was because we were busy chatting. It didn’t feel like 20 minutes at all.

Everyone was happy with their food. The kebabs were flavorful, and the rice tasted fresh. The service was also good.

Prices are on the higher side, but the quality is clearly better than a typical fast-food joint. Parking was easy since there’s a large shared parking lot.

“This place is like Subway, but with pizza instead of sandwiches (and much fresher ingredients). They have a menu of pizzas, but you can customize all of your toppings as you watch a staff member put it together for you every step of the way - from saucing to firing it up in the pizza oven so it comes out fast and hot. The crust is consistently perfect (thin and crispy), there are a ton of fresh, quality ingredient options, and the flavors are amazing. This is a place I have frequented for years and I can honestly say that I have never had a pizza I didn't like. I've tried a handful of them, but my go-to is the green pie (pesto basil sauce, mozzarella, feta, zucchini, eggplant, artichoke hearts & fresh tomatoes). My husband does not like vegetables too much, but even he has learned to let them make it as-is, without customizing it, because it is SO GOOD! The chicken wings are juicy, meaty, and delicious. The salads and Mediterranean plates are great as well (chicken/beef kabob, falafel or chicken shawarma served with rice, salad, hummus, pita bread, and garlic sauce). There is even a dessert counter where you can usually find an assortment of treats like macarons, Dubai chocolate bars, and Baklava. They also serve beer (bottled and on tap).

Aside from the great food, the place has a great ambience with a large & spacious indoor dining area as well as a large shaded patio area in the front (facing bustling Citrus Ave), big screen TVs, and even a little game machine for the kids. They do a great job of keeping it all nice and clean. A small touch I really appreciate is that they conveniently keep extra plates, silverware, condiments, and to-go boxes out in the front so you can use as much as you need without having to ask for them.

On top of all that, it's in a prime location in downtown Covina so there is plenty to do if you have some time to walk around. Great for families and casual date nights.
