We always like to go to Picnic Time to get their Yubu. It's a small and cute cafe, but the ambiance is welcoming and comfortable. They also have a lot of new items on the menu. We ordered their seared salmon Yubu x 3, one Kimchi Yubu, one Lemon Ponzu Salmon Yubu, and one eel Yubu.

This was extra special day Mama time sweet day! because it was our mama time while the kids were in school—a chance to slow down, catch up with a friend, and enjoy a peaceful meal together. We loved this cute little corner we discovered in Walnut. The space is cozy, clean, and thoughtfully arranged—perfect for relaxing and chatting without feeling rushed.

The food is fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared. Menu highlights include Yubu, including seared salmon Yubu, Kimchi Yubu, Lemon Ponzu Salmon Yubu, and eel Yubu. The mini yubu sushi are fun, flavorful, and perfectly portioned for sharing. The donburi bowl with seared salmon is fresh, satisfying, and beautifully balanced, while the sweet shrimp & tobiko combination tastes very fresh and light. Other options include a beef-topped gunkan, spicy minced topping, grilled eel, shrimp nigiri, and a sushi roll. The salad is fresh with crisp lettuce, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, and a perfect dressing, and it is unlimited. The menu has a lot of new items, including specialized sushi selections and the Chef’s Combo Rice Bowl. Customer service is amazing, with a friendly server and an incredibly kind, welcoming owner. The hospitality makes guests feel at home. Prices are reasonable with great value for high-quality ingredients. A suggestion is bigger tables for larger groups. Highly recommend for a casual meet-up, quiet lunch, or foodie exploring.
