I normally make espresso but I am equally happy using their beans for pour-over. Over the years, I have tried more roasters than I can count. These guys are top notch! “One of the best roasters in California, hands down! The people are amazing and hand craft delicious drinks, all while the roasting is being done a few feet away. Highly recommend stopping in and leaving with a bag or two of beans along with your brew!

“Parking isn’t free. Just fyi.
We got the breakfast burrito with salsa on the side, a fig bar and coffee. The coffees were good, very good. But we were highly disappointed with the salsa for the burrito. It was basically hot sauce for us; it tasted good, just too spicy. Apparently that’s the only thing they cater as they don’t make it in house. We were handed some tapatio (“it’s less spicy” they said). What if we just aren’t people who eat spicy food? It kinda lost its charm learning they don’t make salsa nor the fig bar in house. I wonder if the burrito was made in house. Needless to say, it was hard to fully enjoy our meal. Burrito alone lacked flavor. The fig bar was okay, I liked that it wasn’t too sweet. Would be back for coffee, but for food, I’d rather go somewhere else.“

“I’d like to give them 5 stars but the quality of the espresso drinks, cappuccini in particular, starkly depends on the barista. One certain barista delivers always a 5 star cappuccino on par what you would get at Retrograde Coffee Roasters , exact extraction, micro foam, latte art, etc, very delicious and a pleasure for the eyes.
The rest of the baristas deliver what you got 25 years ago at the typical coffeehouse, kind of mediocre coffee.
It’s like you go to a restaurant where the food is really good but only if the one particular chef is working the kitchen.
The cafe could be as busy as Retrograde but they don’t really try, it seems.
I really want to like it as the environment, seating and such, is much nicer there than at the other cafes in town.
But why would I spent $6 on a Ford when I can get an Alfa Romeo for the same price?!“
