“Delicious matcha latte, great coffee, alt milks available, gluten free options for the pastries and for the excellent avocado toast. Plenty of regular treats, too, for those who can eat wheat.Vegetarian options: Most pastries are vegetarian. Vegan avocado toast and alt milks available.Dietary restrictions: GF choices in pastries as well as bread for toasts.“
“Wonderful coffee that extends to wonderful employees and food! Unassuming and welcoming, and although a coffee shop try Lepe’s burritos! So delicious! But so was the coffee, limoncello mascarpone cake and the key lime pie bar- we walked up so we did not need parking but there is a good bit of street parking about“
“One of my favorite stops for a latte! I've been loving their seasonal tiramisu latte, so fun and aesthetic! Their food is also good, of course, cafe coffee and breakfast items are not cheap, I mean you can't even go to McDonald's without flinching at the cost, so be prepared for this to not be your basic cup of black coffee and croissant. I haven't ordered something at Retrograde that I haven't liked, bummer is, the place has become so popular over the years that a wait is almost always required when stopping in, with very minimal seating available.“
“Excellent breakfast sandwiches and excellent prices all around. Workers are so kind and your order comes swiftly. Having breakfast here was a great start to our time in Calistoga.Dietary restrictions: Plenty of options for gluten free and dairy free“
“The customer service here had always been amazing. And the quality of the coffee is consistent and great. That being said, I often order medium drinks that do not fill up the cup. I want the amount of beverage I actually paid for. $7 for a small mocha in a medium cup is kind of a bummer. And please get lids that actually fit your cups!“
“Great coffee, I always get the Mexicano with too much raw sugar and half and half in the morning. In the afternoon or on hot days the Whirled Famous iced coffee is the better of the two iced coffee options as it has vanilla and whipped cream for not much more. The staff are wonderful and great to talk to when you get a chance. Sometimes it can take a while to pay due to some Bourgeois wanting an espresso drink or taking too long to decide what they want at the window. Prices are very reasonable compared to Big Coffee along with the discounts for bringing your own cup or riding a bicycle there and after 2pm they have "Happy Hour". And last, the $1 donuts do not the hurt the wallet, just the waistline but are fresh and tasty. 😋“
“I stumbled upon this place today and had one of the best sandwiches I've ever had in my life. It was a combination of perfectly toasted, fresh seeded bread, fresh avocado, a really delicious pesto, high-quality turkey, fresh arugula... Every ingredient was perfect.“
“As a former restaurateur and cafe owner I really enjoy your cafe. Service is always great, love the staff. Coffee is done well. Bagels are nice. Pastries are ok ...most cafe pastries are dry and ... Ambience is nice considering the space is a challenge. I normally would not give 5 stars, but Santa Rosans seem to give mediocre establishments 4-5 stars so I thought I'd give an extra star here. The bar in Santa Rosa is a bit lower than the Bay Area. One suggestion I have would be is to install a large mirror on the back wall that faces out to the street. Large !! At least 5 x 6 or more.. they can be found. While it may expose behind your counters a little, the lighting and perception of not windows will do wonders.“
