“We decided to try this new bar after a recommendation from a friend. Our 1st impression wasn't the greatest from the graffiti on the front glass. But as we entered thru the back alley we realized it was very nice and open inside. They had several tv's to catch your favorite game and a great sound system. But our favorite part had to be the surprising delicious food menu. This wasn't your typical bar food menu. We had the chicken samosa's, Jalapeno poppers and lamb kabob. Everything was made fresh unlike most bars where the foods frozen from smart and final. They went above and beyond to make it a unique dining experience. So if you're ever in the canoga park area. Give this place a try. Oh and our bartender Jennifer was great! Very attentive and always checked to see if we needed anything. We'll definitely be back soon!“

“I did not eat so I’m not sure if this place offers food. The drinks are affordable and they have live bands play. I saw “Animal sleep” and they were a chaotic group which happened to be really good.. “We came here for my husband‘s birthday . It is so hard to find a restaurant with such great service in Los Angeles. Our server, Jose Peralta was absolutely incredible!!! He was patient while explaining the menu to us , kind while he consistently checking on us, and incredibly hospitable. He made our whole experience amazing!!!What a great experience!! Thank you !! “Came here to watch some college football. Very nice mellow atmosphere, fantastic service and very accommodating when asked to put on a certain game. Three of the four that came with ordered an outstanding nachos plate and I had the chicken avocado salad which was really just okay. I'll try something different next time. But all in all really a great place and really friendly service. I'll be back!“

“We wanted to try a new place and this was a great choice. Had the fish tacos, AMAZING!! Had the pulled pork nachos, also AMAZING!!! Of course we had drinks. Wine isn't the right choice, but they have a variety of beers. Had the michelada and my lips are still a bit spicy. Super yummy. I would recommend this place to friends and we will be back.“

“It's a good little dive bar. But that's it. Nothing more nothing less. Parking is crazy tight. They have bands and karaoke sometimes. Breakfast on Saturday/Sunday. Nothing special to write home about but it's a cozy little dive bar everybody knows everyone.Dietary restrictions: If you're a vegetarian or vegan although they have salads this is probably not a good option.Kid-friendliness: Not really kid friendly, they do come in sometimes with mom and dad but not at night.“

I usually called to place the order over the phone and the customer service is always amazing. When I do order food for pick up or like with a delivery service, something tends to go wrong, or be forgotten or miss made but anytime I've ordered delivery with them. It's always top-tier.“

“Driven past this spot for years. So I decided to take the plunge, so to speak and have a go at it. I tried their fish and chips, and they were amazing. The portions were awesome and well priced. The service was fast and friendly. It was pretty busy, but my food was out pretty quick. The peri peri sauce was a new find for me and I'll get that in the future. Their menu is wide ranging, and the beer and drink menu looks quite extensive as well. Also, the bar itself is pretty cool, and lots of rugby memorabilia there too. Pretty cool crowd. “Came here for happy hour on a weeknight. Decently busy but there were a few open tables in the bar area.The bar area is pretty small but can’t beat the happy hour. For the price, the food is a great value as well as the drinks.My only complaint is that the music is way too loud for the size of the space. Or am I just getting old?“

And if you prefer to sit inside there are some tables and a bar. Good service at the bar! The inside space does get quite loud as bounded by walks in a small space ! Outside can get rowdy too if big groups are hanging out! There is also a bar menu with the typical bar items! Nothing fancy! If you are crazy a basic burger, quesadilla, or fry food, you can find it here! Come for the food and friendly people!“

“Islands is a classic family favorite. I miss the giant birds that they had at the old location back in the day, however the modern day Islands is fresh take on the beachy island vibe of yesteryear. They have a spacious outdoor patio, bar space and plenty of booths inside. The menu has changed quite a bit over time (they have a burrito on the menu now?), but they are typically known for their burgers and fries. Their fries are so good and they always come in a large portion. I can never get enough! I ordered the big wave and the kid's burger for my son. For your burger you have a choice of bun (wheat or white) or you can do it lettuce wrapped. I thought the kids menu had a lot of great options for littles. My son really liked his side of pineapple! However his burger was SO salty. It was saltier than my big wave burger was, so not sure if this was a fluke or the kids burgers are just saltier. Didn't love it. I enjoyed my big wave. It's exactly what you would expect and the veggies on it tasted crisp and fresh. Service was great too! Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. Overall the restaurant was clean and the atmosphere is enjoyable. I come here more for the nostalgia of it but I do crave their fries often!“

“The starbar is right next door to the u haul location where I Frequently I've been going to in the last couple weeks. Because I'm moving out of my house. I've never been to this establishment, but I hear the owners are really good people and they have couple t. Vs, and I'm sure they have really good drinks. I don't drink myself but I'm sure others do and would find this place relaxing although it is on. Deventure itself and when you're next to a busy street. You do get a lot of bad air from cars and tires. But other than that it's a great place.“
