“Wow, great tacos! That was my first thought when I bit into my Carnitas taco.

I wanted something from a local family run Place and this fit the bill. The Carnitas taco were tinged with lime which made it amazing. Although the tacos are small they are stuffed with meat, very filling. I also got the Al pastor and the barbacoa. I tasted the other two but only ate one. The barbacoa was OK but it wasn’t my favorite, but very juicy. ($2.75/taco cash)

I loved that they gave me a bag of chips in my to go order. The salsa is a fresh chunky salsa and quite spicy. I don’t like the pureed type salsa because I don’t think it usually has a good flavor. I was happy with the fresh chunky style they serve.

This is definitely a hole in the wall. It was very busy at lunchtime. Coming up to the building it looks quite grubby but I pushed past that knowing that I had great ratings. I’m glad I did. It’s definitely not an updated, well kept restaurant but the food was great. I met a family who said they’ve been coming for years and love the food.

If you want mom and pop Place it seems to be very popular with good prices, check this place out.“

“I visited Adam's Tacos tonight (formerly Tacos Manuel) to pick up tacos for the family and had a great experience. Adam was very friendly and gave me some recommendations to bring home. We had the carne asada, carnitas, al pastor, cabeza, and lengua tacos. Everything had great flavor - our favorite was the carne asada. We loved the grilled onions! Not sure how they're seasoned, but they were good! Also, the prices were very reasonable. My experience with food trucks has been that they are generally overpriced. Not the case at Adam's Tacos. We fed our family of 5 under $40 which is not very common these days. If you're looking for good tacos in the area, I'd recommend you give this place a shot.“

“Been coming here for years since i was a little girl where they first began on the corner off civic center & fairview , now located on Bristol & first street behind a shopping center , it’s amazing how i got close to the owner as now knows my husband and I and the lovely ladys as well , they already know us by the usual we always get !! Which are the Street Hot Dogs as we toss in some green salsa and it hits the spot !! Especially homemade avena for the cold weather!! “Holy smokes by far the best tacos I ever had! The flavor was sooooo deep! I never had cabases (head) before and my mind was blown of how GOOOD IT WAS! I also got al pastor and chorizo which was just as yummy! And the horochata they made was sooo unique had a flavor of Carmel but it wasn't! Absolutely worth the questionable traffic violation. My Spanish isn't great but ordered 4 al pastor tacos with the spiciest salsa (roja). Perfectly seasoned, juicy, flavorful, and has the classic charred bits for a nice crunch which I love. The salsa roja does not play. I'm Lao/Thai and it's easily a 4/5 spicy, but did not overpower the taste of the tacos. It was missing pineapples for a classic al pastor, but it's okay, it was still great. Finding tacos for under $3 in this economy is rough, but bless the taqueros who keep it affordable and tasty.“

“This is a phenomenal, authentic old-school Mexican eatery bursting with flavor and priced right. You best believe the two ladies behind the counter know the meaning of auténtico. My tacos were cooked to order on homemade tortillas. I dressed mine up with some toppings from the salsa bar. When I sent a pic to my dad, he said “When they have radishes it’s usually a good bet.” He nailed it.

I went with birria and carne asada. The meat is juicy and tender, with the perfect blend of spices and seasoning. The aromas from the grill made my mouth water. The condiment bar is loaded with different cremas, a tangy salsa verde with charred peppers, radish, onion, and carrot.

This is an honest-to-goodness SoCal treasure and it’s only a few minutes from the Magic Park.“

When I say it's good I mean that the food is a master class in the foundational flavor profiles of Mexican-American cooking. Thervice hoever, lacked just a tiny bit. Server didn't ask us if we wanted alcohol, and our dishes were not served all together. That was an awkward 5 minute gap. Lastly, asking us if we wanted more water was not asked, and the taking away of dishes meant i could not nibble on the balance of our queso. she was friendly enough and did bring out our dessert promptly. “I've eaten at several of the local taco stands and THIS ONE IS BY FAR THE BEST! Their al pastor is absolutely delicious because it's fired up on the trompo, sliced off, and cooked a la plancha to give it a crunchy texture while retaining its juiciness. My kid loves their cabeza. They also have suadero on the weekends. I've talked with several other customers during my visits there and they're all regulars because they also think it's the best taco stand around. If you haven't tried this place, you're missing out.
