The Mountain Room Reviews
The Mountain Lodge is a beautiful restaurant. The service was excellent, we especially enjoyed talking to our waiter and the waiter assistant about their experience living at Yosemite. The prices were reasonable. The food was 3* because the chicken was dry, not enough sauce came with it and the sauce was just ok. Could have used more veggies too. The only item that seemed pricey is for bread at $8. I would go back and try another dish on the menu.
The entire staff was friendly and attentive from the host / hostess to the waiter, water person, and bus boy! The food was delicious with good sized portions. We had a wonderful dinner!
We made 2 reservations for mountain room for both evenings of our stay in yosemite. The food was outstanding and everyone in our party enjoyed. I had the trout on the first day and roasted half chicken on the second day and both were delicious and a very sizeable portion. My family members had the steak and burger and the herbed French fries were delicious. We sat at a table with a beautiful view both nights.

The Mountain Room is a restaurant situated in a lovely setting with a captivating waterfall view. The staff are polite and attentive, providing excellent water service despite the busy environment. While the old-fashioned cocktail may be quite sweet, the food is generally praised as excellent, with the filet mignon and salads being particularly noteworthy. The restaurant offers good value, and the experience is described as "absolutely phenomenal" despite the challenges of operating in a national park setting. Reservations are strongly suggested, though open tables may be available. The dress code is no longer in effect, and the cocktails and menu are surprisingly nice, surpassing standard fare. Friendly service and delectable dishes, such as the remarkable lamb, make this a must-visit destination. Diners recommend making reservations, especially during the off-season, as the restaurant is consistently booked up. The cozy and warm dining room complements the tender and delicious filet mignon, ensuring a wonderful dining experience.
