“Been meaning to post a review for a LONG time. Things started out rough here but have gotten better. I'll post my old draft at the end, but here's what's up in the present: I'm opening myself for judgment here. The biggest factor that keeps me coming back to Jack in the Box in general is that it's trash food. Not junk food, TRASH food that lures me in like I'm a grubby raccoon with a thyroid problem. I can get greasy, messy, calorie laden nonsense until the wee hours... and also a chicken teriyaki bowl. The chaos of the menu is half the fun! The prices have gone way up recently, which has me conflicted and downgrades this to a 3 star situation across the franchise, but since my beef is with Mr. Box and not this location, I'm holding steady with my 4 star rating. May each star shine in its own oil-soaked glory. If you have little-to-no regard for your own dignity or cholesterol level, there's a $10 burger called the Bacon Double Smashed Jack that contains 1070 calories. You get a brioche bun slopped together with 2 quarter-pound patties, "boss sauce," American cheese, hickory smoked bacon, pickles, grilled onions. It calls my name but also rifles through my wallet for loose change because WHY AM I SHELLING OUT $10 TO DIE SOONER? But if you, too, are a grubby trash panda after 9pm, I begrudgingly recommend it. I basically feel like I have to sneak here in the dead of night bc my pride can't let me run into people I know while carrying a Jack in the Box bag. But that's a "me" problem, not a "you" problem. OLD DRAFT I FORGOT ABOUT First impression: Saw the "Now Open!" sign on Yucaipa Blvd, so headed over to try the shiny new restaurant when it was brand new. Ordered 6 tacos, a Jumbo Jack, and two teriyaki chicken bowls. Then I started a timer from the time I ordered at the drive thru speaker until I got my food (there were two cars in front of me). It took... a while. 16 minutes from ordering to getting food handed over. The food was meh, and the tacos were actually cold. Since that first experience I've been back several times and each time was a positive experience. The wait times have gotten shorter, too.“
“The service and the food was outstanding, we need more restaurants like this one. My food was steaming hot everything was fresh and absolutely tasty. The lady on the window was really nice and gave me the condiments I actually wanted. Didn’t have to repeat myself on anything. She really listened.“
