“We stopped here on a road trip and ended getting an extra order To Go - yes, the green chile sauce is that good! Seeing tables of relaxed locals is always a good sign and this off-main-street spot delivers in the best way. Authentic flavors, well prepared and served in generous portions by friendly faces. The stuffed sopapilla was the rock star of our visit, but the asada tacos with homemade tortillas were a close second. Do NOT miss the salsa Verde!“
“We were immediately greeted upon entering and encouraged to select our table. A server appeared immediately to take a drink order. We ordered food when the drinks came. She had the chicken fried chicken and I had the mango habanero chicken sandwich. Both were excellent and arrived in a timely fashion.Service was efficient and kind. They're busy well past lunchtime. We always take this as a positive sign. Plenty of locals eat there. Family friendly. We didn't try the shakes or bubble tea... But it appears to be a specialty of theirs.Parking is right outside.Really enjoyed the service and food at a good value. The only very minor downside was the volume in the dining area when full. But as I said, busy usually means good things. Maybe some sort of sound absorbing wall finishings or art? It's a minor thing that wouldn't keep us from returning.“
“The food was good. The menu was really basic. Our food took an hour and a half to come out with 4 tables in the dining room occupied. The kitchen is extremely slow. Don't waste your time coming here. The service was good but were limited in offering relief for the long wait. They could have at least offered something to help ease the pain of waiting forever. If things don't get better I can see another vacant restaurant space in the near future for the golf course.“
“I moved away a few years ago from Alamosa to Florida. I'm on a anniversary trip here and I had to go back to my favorite breakfast place for many years. It's the exact same Cafe with still them same waitresses I knew years ago. The food is amazing and boy did I love the green chili.“
“We didn't eat but I've heard the food is great. My only complaint is that I left my ID and debit card and was told that I didn't sign myself out. I purchased 4 shots of tequila and they are saying it was $68. I'm going in today to speak to a manager.“
“We travel a lot and finding local restaurants that give quick quality service is a rarity. We found a great little place in Alamosa at St Ive’s. The appetizer was delicious, particularly the deep fried mushrooms. The patty melt and Reuben were also done to perfection. Kudos! We’ll make a point to stop on our next trip to Denver.“
“It took a little bit of a wait to be seated and for our server to greet us and get drinks started but we also got there at the tail end of happy hour. Once that ended, things were super smooth. My boyfriend had nachos and I had pasta and it was delightful. Well seasoned and fresh, it was everything we wanted and needed. Great beer too. Highly recommend!!!“
“Excellent food and service. Our server was great and tonight was completely packed but he did an amazing job. The food was spot on so great job everyone working together from the kitchen to the front door. It was much better than in the past when we have been there before.“
“We stopped in town for the night driving through. It was a busy Friday night but read they had good burgers so we decided to wait for a table. GREAT CHOICE! The service, from the time we walked into the door, put our name in, while we were waiting, our server was Fantastic!!!, and even the service as we were checking out was fabulous! Definitely makes you want to come back again! Wish we lived close, we would make this a regular stop!!“
