“My coworkers and I decided to come here on our lunch break. We have one hour. We got the lunch special-Mongolian beef with wonton soup, sesame chicken with egg drop soup, and happy family with hot and sour soup, and a giant combination lomein to share.
They were we all super friendly from the get-go, walking in the door. The place was clean and the environment was vintage and homey, like the old restaurants you'd see in a movie. There were fresh cut roses in vases that looked like they were from a home garden, not store bought. I could be wrong. But I'm pretty sure they were home grown, IDK why.
Now, THE FOOD... DELICIOUS AND FRESH!!! Everything was cooked to perfection and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING was was fine to waste. Although we couldn't finish because we had so little time, we all took it home and enjoyed it. I honestly enjoyed it so much and shared it with my daughter that we are actually ordering more today! Do yourself a favor and go get some. But be prepared to wait because if there's a lot of people... The wait will be long. That was the only downside. But the wait was well worth it!!! TRUST ME!!! 😋😋😋“

“Food is excellent and staff is nice. No source of heat in Bathroom for ladies. No plug-,in. You cannot even put a space heater in. In winter it is freezing cold in bathroom. Cannot even sit on toilet. This does need remedied“

“I’ll be honest…we had pretty low expectations for this place…but turned out that everything we got was absolutely delicious! The pad see lew, drunken noodles and basil chicken were all excellent! We’ll definitely be back to try 10 other things on the menu! Also, portions were huge! Great value!!“

“We have literally been going to this dollar scoop since I was in middle school. For a single father of three , this place literally saved us some nights. Now, I can't help but rate all other Chinese food by this place and hardly any have compared. I will never not be grateful to the family that runs this place. Thank you.“

“It’s a very pleasant spot. The service provided by the young man was incredibly kind and laid-back. The place is impeccably clean, and the food features generous portions and delicious flavors—I particularly noticed how fresh the chicken was. They use chicken breast, which is something that really stands out—I haven't seen that done anywhere else. The prices are very affordable, too. Oh! And as a coffee addict, I ordered a Vietnamese coffee, and it was delicious. Highly recommended! 😊🫰🏻✨“

“Another great Michelin Bib Gourmand find. Creative, unique Asian fusion dishes. Chef is not afraid to load up on the spice. Go here if you want something you've never had before! Been here a few times....didn't have a bad dish yet. And the staff seems happy and attentive and low turnover...another mark of a great restaurant.“

“10 stars 🌟 Incredible experience from start to finish. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Very warm and comfortable environment. Extremely clean and open feeling dining space. Truly a neighborhood restaurant that will always make you want to return for more. Singapore noodles were amazing. The staff really was the highlight of the meal. I felt like family at the table. Holly was very friendly.“

“First of all, not a dine-in place. All delivery or carry-out, just a counter with a small busy kitchen behind it, older Asian men talking to each other as they cook it up back there, and cranking out only deliciousness for the last 40 years (Its on the site)!!
It's all good, truly, but I think their Pork fried rice is the best in town. Ask for it in the cardboard carton so it stays hot longer!!“

“Generally speaking the food is consistent. House made dumplings and noodles can’t be compared. I should have written something years ago about how great they are. They have another location in Washington Park but I haven’t visited. Overall my family and friends have coming over the years and we are just astonished. It used to be a space where restaurants kept on changing and FWTT has become a staple in Cherry Creek. I hope the community realizes this hidden gem for what it is. Great food, incredible wine and maybe one of the best patios in the area. Pork dumplings and the duck noodles are my go to with a spritz on the patio.“

“Very friendly and great food for a very good price. I feel welcome when I enter and have had a great experience each time I’ve gone to Chi’s Express. Chi’s appears very clean and sanitary, a welcome change to some other local spots.
The lo mein noodles are the best I’ve had at a by-the-scoop restaurant by a large margin, while the Wontons and Egg Rolls have good taste but aren’t very crunchy… I still like them better than a nearby scoop restaurant with similar prices.
The front of house is always busy during the day so the food is regularly turned over and stays fresh, yet the service is still very fast, both for the pre-made steam table items and to-order meals.
My favorites so far have been the Lo Mein, Orange Chicken and Double Mongolian Beef and Chicken, but I want to try the Volcano Chicken again because the first time I tried it was early in the morning and I think it may have been reheated because it was very tough and I want to give it another shot… As with most similar restaurants, it is probably best to go near lunch time to get the freshest food, especially since they always move fast if there is a line anyways.
I am a big eater, but a single two-scoop combo is still too much for me to finish, but I still sometimes get a three scoop combo and eat half before school, and finish it with the drink for a late lunch, which keeps me fed and satiated for the whole day and keeps me from spending too much at pricy vending machines or ordering delivery!
Some people complain that they add too much rice/noodles to the box, (imagine complaining that you got TOO MUCH food!) but compared to the scoops you get from Panda Express or other local shops, every food portion at Chi’s is very generous, and the container is almost spilling out every time I order! While most restaurants have a measured cup that barely fills the section of the container, Chi’s Express scoops on a much larger portion than any other restaurant would use to fill the two small sections in the to-go container, and the three-scoop combo comes with a generously filled second container that is larger than the side order containers from Panda etc… They definitely do not skimp, and the big side portions are great anyway because they are very delicious.
PS:
I am in no way connected to Chi’s Express… I have simply really enjoyed my new favorite before-school lunch spot that really hits the spot! The economy is tough, and supporting small businesses like Chi’s Express helps keep the community fed for cheap, without putting money into the pockets of the giant corporations that got us into this mess. Buy small, eat big!“

“Wonderfully little mom and pop Cantonese BBQ spot. I prefer this place over takeaway American Chinese food when I'm hungry in a pinch. I like the Char Shu, Roast Pork, Soy Sauce Chicken, and Spicy Tofu. The owners are very nice, work hard, and serve great food.“

We've tried a variety of dishes and will continue to have this be our go to place for Chinese food. Plus, the owners are kind and proud of what they serve. “We were in for lunch, my first time in. Interesting concept, they come around with food carts to your table and you choose what you would like. They also do have a menu with more options. All our food choices were delicious but not many gluten-free options.“

“I'm not saying the corn flake french toast will definitely change your life, but I am saying the corn flake french toast *could* change your life. (Warning: the change might be that you dream about it every single day.)
I've been here a couple of times and had an a+ time. The cocktails and mocktails are inventive and well balanced. My favorite is Nice Melons! Favorite foods: obvs the french toast, the sichuan spicy eggplant, the japanese fried chicken, and the tom yum noodle. The furikake potatoes were meh and the f me up dog was a lil too weird for me. I also didn't love the ants climbing on a tree. I liked the bbq pork shoulder, but it was a little dry.
Overall, will definitely be back and try some different things. They also typically have rotating specials. (I do wish they took reservations!)“

“The food was so good, we came back again two days later! The BEST Orange Chicken I’ve ever had. They make it with real orange juice. Superb! Kung pao chicken was tender and wonderful. Drunken noodles - amazing. Sesame chicken was very good - too many onions though. This is our new favorite. We can’t wait to try everything on the menu.“

“The food was very good, and the portions were generous. We really enjoyed the dumplings and fried rice. The only issue was that the “Open” sign wasn’t very noticeable. We thought the restaurant was closed and almost gave up after walking quite a distance. Other than that, everything was great. I’d definitely recommend it.“

“Uncle Henry’s continues to fire on all cylinders, maintaining its place as the best fresh, authentic Szechuan/fresh roasted duck & pork Restaurant in the north suburban area. Every dish we’ve tried for more than a year has been richly flavored, well executed, and served at an ideal temperature. The husband & wife team who run the place are gifted chefs, as well as friendly, helpful, and very hard working, as is the rest of the small staff. This storefront restaurant has now become solidly and regularly very busy, which it well deserves. Try it, and try multiple dishes on and off the menu. These folks are running a top small restaurant, and their success is based on all the right things. Kudos to the Westminster Uncle Henry’s!“

“Dining in the service is always amazing and really fast! I always get Lemon chicken, chicken lo mein, fried rice, and egg drop soup. All are so good and a reasonable price! “Phenomenal dining experience. Best Chinese food in Denver. We had the luncheon special for 15.95. The portions were amazing and delicious. The hostess helped out by explaining the dining process. Our granddaughter was a little wild so she volunteered to care for her so we could enjoy our meal. Definitely on our to do list next time in Denver“
“We ate in the dinning room rather than the bar, thus the noise level was just fine and you could hear one another talk. All of our meals were excellent, from Peking duck, Moo Shu pork, short ribs and sushi. The service was a little slow however.“

“Just found this gem of a place last week. Been there twice since the first time.… What I have tried has been on par with great Vietnamese joins I’m used to in Houston. Authentic, fresh and a great value. Combo noodle bowl is tasty and refreshing. Great grilled flavor on the meats. The Vietnamese egg rolls are a great app.- very tasty! Lunch special was good (I got the combo kung pow), but will stick to Chinese restaurants to order Chinese food, BUT will be getting pretty much all of my Vietnamese food from here from now on. Generous portion sizes (they don’t skimp on the meats) at a very reasonable price point. For me the icing on the cake was that they give great quality stuff for to-go orders (substantial to go containers, a quality cutlery set with high quality fork, knife and chopsticks). I’ve been in F&B for 25+ years and this is a tell tale sign that an establishment really cares. If in the Northgleen area, give them a try. (When i googled saigon basil, there a couple of places with the same name, the one I am speaking about is the one off of 104th and I-25.“

“SO YUMMY! My dining companion is not a “trained chef” 😂 whatever below reviewer “Vonna Somethin“ but my partner is picky and we love Peter’s! Our food was delicious and the place was booming with orders so obviously they do things right often if not always! It is the only Cantonese restaurant in Denver that we will order from! The owner is really nice and knows exactly what good service and good meals mean to a person.“
