About Khow Thai Café

Khow Thai Café offers consistently good food in a small, welcoming setting. The staff is friendly and accommodating, with options for special requests. The restaurant has its own parking lot and is conveniently located near a park in downtown Boulder. Authentic Thai cuisine is served, including dishes like Pad See U, Papaya salad, and Drunken Noodles. The café also offers unique soups, such as Tom Kha, and desserts like Mango Sticky rice. Customers praise the food for its real flavor and love the kindness and craft behind each dish. Popular meals include Tom Yum soup with shrimp, Pad Woon Sen with shrimp, and Basil Fried Rice, which are some of the best in several states. The food is always delicious and served quickly, especially for takeout. Despite a slightly dated decor, the focus remains on quality food. The restaurant is a quiet, comfortable place, especially in the late afternoon, and the owner is a delight. The menu can be spiced up easily for those who like it hot, and the spring rolls with peanut sauce are highly recommended. Many customers have enjoyed their visits over the years, with some driving long distances just to dine here. The dishes, such as Drunken Noodles, are fresh, lemony, and light, often less salty than other places. The complimentary egg roll starter is also a highlight. Overall, Khow Thai Café is a favorite for locals and visitors alike, offering authentic Thai dishes in a friendly atmosphere.

This is my favorite restaurant ever. When I lived in Fort Collins, I'd drive the 1.5 hours to Boulder literally just for Khow Thai. I recently moved out of Colorado and the No. 1 thing I'm looking forward to when I go back for Christmas is having the chance to return to Khow Thai. I've never been let down by any of their dishes; my favorites are the pad see ew and the larb. Their food makes me feel so refreshed and nourished. Excellent service, food was fresh and delicious, we had leftovers! Highly recommend!

I have eaten at Khow Thai regularly for 20 plus years and have consistently had excellent experiences there.
My standard dish is Drunken Noodles. Khow Thai's is fresh, lemony and light, considerably less salty than the soy sauce based version most of the competiton provides.
The complimentary egg roll starter is also superior to similar offerings from other Thai restaurants.
