“Love this place so much! I’m not usually a fan of chain restaurants but my favorite thing about this place is the fact that they source locally as much as they can. We have been here a few times now and every single time it has been great. The food and service are consistently good. Every server we have had was amazing. I used to work in restaurant industry for years so I notice the little things. I love to see multiple managers on the floor talking to customers, refilling drinks, running food. One server I have to point out is Jennifer, she’s never actually been our server but always remembers us, specifically my daughter who was having a meltdown one day and she offered to bring her a bowl of fruit. And we weren’t even in her section. Great service, thank you!“

“We’re currently visiting my sister and her family in Colorado Springs, and decided to eat brunch together here. I was beyond impressed! My 2 year old (who will be 3 next week) has multiple food allergies. Normally going out to eat is a tough experience. Our server was so nice and when I mentioned allergies her response was “oh we take food allergies seriously, let me make sure that item is a safe food.” Not only was it the very first time he was able to order off of a kids menu (normally we feel lucky to get him one or two items ale carte), but the food came out with a “ALLERGY” flag in it which made us all feel safer about him eating it. He loved the meal, no allergic reaction, and the service/wait staff was FANTASTIC. I can’t wait to go back the next time we visit. 🥰“

“I wanted to try something new for Sunday brunch today so I came here! Doug’s Breakfast Lunch has kind of a southwest diner feel. I had the huevos rancheros, which tasted great, but might be too heavy for some. The coffee was good, similar to what you’d expect at IHOP or Waffle House or other breakfast restaurants. They also let you know up front that there is a 50 cent upcharge on every dish with eggs due to the cost of eggs right now being much higher than average.“

“We ate at the IHOP on Stetson Blvd on the 4th of July. We were seated right away and got our drinks right away. The sweet ice tea was great. I ordered a pancake combo, and my wife ordered an omelet with sreak. Everything was quick, and the food was great. High marks for everything except the parking area. There is a huge pothole in the parking area that needs to be addressed!“

“It seems like it wasn’t that long ago Colorado Springs had 7 or 8 Village Inns and now we’re down to just the two. Fortunately, the one on Duryea is close to our house so we still get over there a couple times a month for breakfast. They just finished a remodel and we like what they’ve done. It seems like it’s more open, with an increase in seating capacity, new tables, chairs, and booths, along with new flooring. We’ve heard some people aren’t thrilled, but we are fine with it. The food is still good, as is the service. On this visit my wife got the Country Music Star Omelette, but substituted green chili for the sausage gravy. I ordered the Ultimate Skillet with a side of green chili. We both thought our selections were very good, and the portion sizes and prices still seem reasonable. I think we’ll both be happy that we still have a Village Inn close by and that they’re trying to make it better, instead of complaining. So yeah, we’re recommending the Village Inn on Duryea!“

“I wanted this to be 5 stars all day. However there were some issues with the temperature of many of the hot dishes and quite a few things that just didn't feel elevated enough for the price. We arrived at 9:30am and when we started browsing many of the dishes when we arrived were cold unfortunately including sausages, bacon and potatoes. The carvery meats were also not very hot. These things add up when you are paying a premium price. Things that were enjoyable were the sushi, desserts (they had a strawberry mousse dome that was delicious) and we loved the As it stands it was lovely to come and experience the buffet however I don't know if it was worth the asking price. The hotel and atmosphere are beautiful. It might be more worth it if you arrive right at opening.“

“It's worth going to Wade's just for Mariah, our waitress! The place has a great atmosphere: lively and filled with people enjoying themselves. No wonder that the line is out the door.

I'm only giving the food two stars because I had huevos rancheros. I didn't have their famous green chili. I wasn't nuts about the processed American cheese slivers or the frozen hash browns. I didn't see any beans. But the fried egg was good.“

“We missed the sign: wait to be seated. So we seated ourselves. As a result we waited 5 minutes before going back to the front so we could get menus & service. Food was good and waitress did speed up service when we told her we seated ourselves.“

The service was friendly, but one thing felt a bit off: we were given the check while we were still eating. What if we wanted to order something else? It came across a little like they were rushing us out. Other than that, a very nice experience overall.“
