We were staying at the Mining Exchange (but you don't need to in order to access the bar), and wanted some drinks before we had dinner.
Service was friendly and attentive (on a Tuesday night) and the house cocktails we had were both excellent. I had a Frida (Kahlo) Flame, a lovely Old Fashioned variant with chocolate bitters and jalapeno -- zingy but well-balanced. My wive did the (Monique) Chism Spritz, a tequila / prosecco cocktail that included not-overwhelming peach.

Golden Hour Bar offers a historic but upscale atmosphere in the hotel lobby, often featuring live music. The vibe is lovely and the staff are super friendly, a delight, and wonderful. Specific bartenders are noted as excellent, knowledgeable, and extremely friendly. Cocktails are delicious, with an interesting infusion process to watch. The happy hour portions are big and the food is good. However, service can be very slow on busy nights like Thursday, impacting the experience. Despite this, many find it a really great experience and a fun place to be, promising to return.
