My wife and I came from New Orleans popped in on out Friday night here. Turns out the owner served us, we felt so welcome. The bar was a great environment. The owner was super nice and gave us tons of recs and made for easy conversation with us. We plan to go back every night until we leave. So great to have a safe queer space to feel welcomed in.
I went in this afternoon. I had seen some of the comments on Reddit & general reviews of this establishment- but as a business owner myself I always try to enter an establishment completely neutral & open to develop my own opinions.I cannot sing enough praises for this bar. Lesbian bars are so few & far between. Blush & Blu is one of the last in the entire country. Brought our out of town guests from DC here on a Saturday night. We are a diverse crowd and all of us felt completely welcome. We always try to support local. Jody was very gracious and gave us the full tour. The crowd was fantastic. We loved the karaoke and Jody's personally made expresso martinis!! We'll be adding Blush N Blu as part of our weekend plans from now on.
