“Our server, Jasmine, was engaging, professional, and thorough. Our food was superb. We started with the spanish Octopus, a new prepreation, and it was better than either of the last ones. We shared the Diver's Platter and each seafood was perfectly cooked. We asked if it were possible to get the Cod grilled versus deep fired and were told "yes". a w onderful spot. Get the oysters, especially on Monday's.“
“Jax offered a decent meal experience albeit pricey. Staff was all very welcoming and friendly. While the bar area had ample staffing there seemed to be only two servers and one assistant for the entire restaurant which made interaction with the server almost non existent. That stated the overwhelmed server we had was friendly the few times we saw her and was doing the best she could. The food was decent but they love their spices and the MauiMaui was served with a paste that had a nip to it that was a bit much for my taste. The bread, served in a butter oil type sauce, was very good but again the sauce was strongly spiced. The chocolate oil cake and Ceaser salad were average. On the flip side the crab cake was excellent with chunks of crab. My wife enjoyed her salmon dish. The atmosphere was a bit loud and the air was set colder than it needed to be. Overall while I was glad to have tried Jax I'm not sure I'd go back as it did not seem up to the very high prices they have. For the prices I had hoped for a higher level experience. A better experience can be found elsewhere at more reasonable prices.“
“Stopped in for a cleanse and the owner helped me pick out exactly what I wanted, even bringing some fresh squeezed juice from the back. Every juice was incredible. I’ve done cleanses from other places and you can’t beat the quality and value of these juices. Will definitely come back often.“
“Went here last night for a birthday dinner - was almost completely empty but don't let that fool you! Overall experience was great. The vibe and music was on point and made for a great atmosphere. Mondays they have half price bottles of wine which was a steal (and good wine!). Our serve was super attentive, always replenishing our water and timing our food perfectly. We both had the pork belly ramen, which was fantastic for a non-ramen-focused place. We also had the crispy rice & spicy tuna app which was delicious and the tuna tataki roll which was fab as well. My only complaint is the creme brulee was soupy and not done right so that was disappointing as it was my partner's birthday dessert but they were kind enough to take it off the bill so that was nice. Otherwise I highly recommend!“
“Great spot for a lonely or friendly meal. I ordered an Unagi Don lunch, sushi and sashimi, crab Rangoon and takoyaki. It was all tasty and good. The crab Rangoon batter was too thick and unseasonably the filling was slim. It was like I was eating baked paper. Takoyai were A1 delicious. The unagi don was fine the most egregious part was that the rice came in a half child's portion. My server was mostly prompt. Looking forward to trying other dishes“
“Our recent birthday dinner experience at Jax Seafood Restaurant was absolutely incredible. From the warm greeting by the friendly staff to the fantastic happy hour deals and impeccable seafood selection, every aspect of our evening exceeded expectations. The highlight was undoubtedly the chef's special dessert—a true masterpiece that showcased the team's skill and passion. Overall, Jax Seafood Restaurant provided stellar service and dining, making it highly recommended for a memorable experience. We can't wait to return! Thank You Chef!!“
“It is not often that the hype of a place lives up to the claims but Kawa Ni is one such place. You walk into a very vibey space with music, an open kitchen and a gong on the wall that they hit anytime anyone orders a beer with a sake shot. It honestly does a good job of transporting you at least a little bit to somewhere else. The cocktails were well balanced and fun, but not so fun and unique that you have to wonder what the heck they are trying to say is in each one. The menu is all supposed to be shareable, for the best experience I recommend going with a group of 4 or more. We got a smatterings of things from the hamachi, a 10/10 by the way, to the shaved broccoli which had such a unique sauce on it and was perfectly dressed, to the cold soba noodles. I want to give a moment to the peanut sauce on those soba noodles, because my god that sauce is a peanut lovers dream! I want it in a jar to put on every rice dish I eat moving forward! Very few things fell short of delicious expectations! Some things were more standout in flavor than others but nothing was abhorrent or made me turn up my nose. Some items I enjoyed but won't rave about, the matcha tiramisu, it was really good, but the way people rave about it you would expect it to be the kind of delicious that could end a long standing feud between scorned lovers, for me it was a decent dessert, but next time I will try something else. Also, The curry dish, I wanted more pow when it came to flavor. It was good, but curry can be so much more. The menu changes regularly which I love because it means I can have a different experience if I go from season to season. Kawa Ni will absolutely be on my short list when it comes to places I want to take people when they visit.“
