Perfect snack/coffee stop at Denver Airport! Great service and amazing empanadas!
It’s an airport fast food place. So with that in mind, it is clean with a friendly staff. The empanadas are pleasantly displayed and all look delicious. The BBQ and Argentina ones were quite nice. If I am ever on a layover near gate A26 again, I’ll definitely visit them again.
I wasn’t even really that hungry when I walked by Maria Empanada at Denver International Airport, but the incredible aroma completely drew me in. Then I saw all the delicious-looking empanadas and knew I had to try them — best decision!
I had the Bacon, Egg & Cheese empanada and the Banatella empanada, and both were absolutely amazing. Fresh, warm, flavorful, and seriously satisfying. The Banatella was the perfect sweet finish after the Bacon, Egg & Cheese.

Maria Empanada is a great selection of empanadas in the airport. The empanadas are delicious and fairly good, especially with the sauces. There is excellent counter service and decent value for the price, but the price point usually stings. You try the Chorizo and Egg Empanada, the Mushroom, Argentina, Sierra flavor and sweet or spicy surprises. Fresh‑squeezed orange juice is offered, and an Arnold Palmer is perfect to wash it down. The menu is full of sweet treats, savory shocks and spicy surprises, and the spread is a Latin American food fest.
