Went to Marlowe's with a couple of work colleagues. I had their special burger (in addition to their normal menu). It was very good, and prepared very well. Nice, bright setting. If you're so inclined, they do have a small outdoor patio area for dining al fresco. The other entrees also looked very good. Staff was attentive and friendly. Definitely on the short list of places to go on 16th Street!
Unfortunately they have closed their doors. We loved Marlowes. It was a Denver institution and we were saddened to see them go. Seems to be becoming the norm for established places in Denver.

It is called West of Surrender now. They just opened a few weeks ago with the new name. We stopped in for drinks and got the trout artichoke dip - it was very delicious. We also got a seasonal dessert - peach cobbler with ice cream and it was scrumptious! Our waitress Anna was very helpful and knowledge about the menu. The atmosphere was very nice - it's like an old time bar theme. Will come back to have a meal here soon.
