Havent tried a ton, but thats also because once I tried the grilled pork cold noodle bowl I havent eaten anything else since. 17$ for easily two meals, awesome local place, and the pork is so prefectly cooked 10/10
This place is a hidden gem. The Smoked Pork Belly Ban Mi was exceptional. The meat was cooked perfectly, the veggies were crisp and the bread was lightly toasted.
It rivals any Banh Mi we’ve had in the city, including Golden Banh Mi in Aurora.
My wife got a pork noodle dish, and it was also exceptional.
Plus, the folks inside were very warm and welcoming.
We will be back.

The grilled pork banh mi was flavorful, nicely sized, and reminiscent of sandwiches I ate in Hanoi. With friendly service, reasonable prices, and a unique menu that reaches beyond the typical banh mi offerings- pho beef, brisket with bbq sauce, teriyaki chicken- Uptown Banh Mi is a welcomed addition to the neighborhood. Love the mural of train street on the wall!

Based on reviews, Uptown Banh Mi & Pho is one of the best Vietnamese spots, offering an authentic home cooked meal. The banh mi was real, and the best pho broth in a long time is served here. The combo pho features flavorful meatballs, Smokey and tender brisket, and a perfectly hot and seasoned broth. The restaurant puts out a pretty massive Banh Mi for a pretty decent price. Both the duck and grilled pork banh mi were very good. The spinach cheese wontons and fried tofu banh mi are sooo delicious. An ube cold foam coconut water is incredible. The service is always kind and fast. It is a good location for someone starving after museum tours and city walks. Some noted the price may reflect a location premium, and a wish for more vegetables or meat for the price, but the overall flavor is there.
