“Came to the Red Mountain Grill while on vacation. It's not a bad place to grab a meal. It's kind of what you’d expect from a nice chain restaurant. The food is pretty good, but not outstanding. The service is friendly and your order will come out on time.
What makes this place stand out a bit is the welded metal folk-art everywhere, from floor to ceiling. It'll make you stare for a bit and say "hm. interesting." The large windows give you a very nice view of the mountains and trees.
Here's what we ordered as seen in my pictures:
- Crispy fried calamari ($15.95)
- High Country Elk Chili ($6.50)
- The Ultimate French Dip ($21.95)
- BB & B Burger ($22.95)
- Kraft Mac 'n Cheese ($11.95) from Kid's Menu
- Fettuccini Pasta w/ butter parm sauce ($11.95) from Kid's Menu
- Chocolate Chunk Brownie Sundae ($11.95)
Again, the food was good. Not terrific, but good. For example, I was not sure what to expect from the elk chili, but it tasted just like any other bowl of restaurant chili. And, items were a bit pricey for what they are ($12 for Kraft mac 'n cheese, $12 for a mass-produced brownie and ice cream). I mean, I get it, we're in a prime vacation spot, you've got to have prices to match. The Ultimate French Dip is described as "Thinly sliced prime rib piled high on a French baguette, sweet caramelized onions, Gruyére cheese, horseradish cream sauce, served with a side of au jus for dipping". That's a nice bit of marketing. It wasn't as flavorful as they made it out to be. I was really hoping for a punch of horseradish, but it just wasn't there...
However, the BB & B Burger, was probably the only dish nearly worthy of it's price. It was very good: a "Buffalo burger, thick cut applewood smoked bacon, Bourbon BBQ sauce with caramelized onions and Gouda cheese." In my opinion, the burgers are the best options on the menu. My wife had the BB & B Burger, but I would have chosen the "H & S Kickin Chicken" with Nashville hot sauce, pickle chips, cheddar and coleslaw on the side.
We came here on our vacation, however, the Red Mountain Grill did not, unfortunately, become one of our core memories. It's a solid 4 stars for me.“

“We have eaten here several times and each time it has been exceptional! Staff ( Jordan, Chris, oh gosh, the hostess who seated us with blonde hair and calls everyone “lovlies”) super duper nice, all of them! Food is always delicious. We always get the portabello sandwich and fries…tasty tasty. Always our go to place when we go out to eat while here. Both thumbs up!!!“

“We ordered the spinach artichoke appetizer and the grilled jalapeños burger. Everything was amazing. Best spinach artichoke dip I’ve had at any restaurant and it’s something my husband and I like to order everywhere. The burger, I can’t recommend enough. The meat was cooked perfectly, the aioli sauce was very complimentary and the Frisco cheese and avocado just put it over the top. The service was great and fast, even with the bartender taking care of everyone herself. Definitely a great place to dine!“

“One of the coolest mid mountain lodges in all of Colorado. This place is always my go to stop to refuel and take a rest from hitting the slopes. Only negative is that there's technically no place indoors to warm up but you should be dressed warm enough so enjoy the great outdoors!“

“Nice to have something besides pizza and wings available at Keystone. Fun to do a sake sampler. Avoid the momakawa on draft as they need to clean the lines. Whole family enjoyed both the ramen and tofu bowl.
Vegetarian options: Great vegetarian options!“

“Stopped by for lunch with friends during the off-season and it was a much more relaxed vibe than in winter. Outdoor patio seating was very nice and scenic, indoor seating was chill. Food was delicious with decent portion sizes. Southeast bowl and ice cream cookie were the way to go!“
