“I loved everything about the Strater Hotel. There is so much history within the hotel walls, if only the walls could talk. Our room was spacious, comfortable and beautiful. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Both the restaurant and bar had a good menu choice. Located on beautiful Main Street, just steps away from lots of great shops and restaurants. I would definitely stay there again when in the Durango area.“

“Dependable and delicious. Locally sourced ingredients. Savory foods ranging from healthy to “you earned it”. Staff is always friendly and helpful. My favorite is the fries with taco beef which sounds simple but my taste buds find to be decidedly complex.

“Just finished a spectacular meal at Moose and Squirrel! Highly recommend you put this on your list of places to eat while in and around Purgatory Ski Resort. We ate with six adults and six children and try just about everything on the menu. There wasn’t one person that was disappointed with their meal. Highlights included the beet salad and charcuterie board as starters… for entrees you can’t go wrong with the Hatch Green Chile or Miso Salad. Kids enjoyed the pizza, hamburgers and pasta. The bar is serving great cocktails so definitely check out the bar menu! We really enjoyed the old fashions! Definitely give this place a try!“
