My boyfriend surprised me with dinner reservations last night at Serafina’s and it was wonderful. The atmosphere is dark and intimate with live piano music that was so perfect for a romantic dinner. I love red wine and got great recommendations from our server. My boyfriend’s old fashioned was picture perfect and even smelled amazing. Wow, we come to Durango often but this was our first time trying Serafina's Steakhouse and we were blown away! This is our new number one for dinner when I'm Durango! Incredible ambience, felt like we could be in NYC or San Fran, but we're just off main street in our favorite mountain town. Serafina's Steakhouse is a restaurant in Durango that has left a strong impression on its guests. The food receives consistent praise. The menu is amazing, including desserts. The ribeye is a perfect medium, and the prime ribeye is top shelf. The bacon wrapped filet, sweet potato mashers, smoked gouda and cheddar macaroni, airline chicken, seafood, and Mac and cheese side are all delicious. The chocolate cake and peach pana cota are just perfect. Drinks include red wine, an old fashioned, top shelf cocktails, Caymus Cabernet, and a pistachio digestif.
For many, this is the best steakhouse in Durango and the best steak found in the area. Some call it their new number one for dinner in Durango, a place to sit for hours. Others say it was one of the very best meals of their entire vacation. Guests would come back in a heartbeat and would go out of their way to eat here again.
