“All of our meals were excellent. I had the trout with polenta. Huge filet, great polenta and veggies. I am going to give special praise for one item. I drink only decaf coffee. Most restaurants, if they even serve it, don't care much about the quality. Here it was served at the table in a French press, and it was some of the best coffee I have ever had.
The chocolate cheesecake was awesome also. My favorite meal during our trip to Estes Park, and there were a lot of excellent ones.“

“Mountain Home Cafe is my favorite for breakfast and lunch - always with great service - in Estes Park for many years. Fresh fruit and vegetables, and fresh hamburger, too, are served here. Biscuits and gravy is a crowd pleaser along with Alaska baked oatmeal, waffles, Swedish rollups, country fried steak, corn beef hash, and an assortment of breakfast combinations and skillet breakfasts. Not to mention Eggs Benedict :::: including California Benedict with avocado, and Mexican Benedict.“

“Absolutely lovely coffee shop in the heart of Estes Park! The staff is always exceptionally friendly and helpful. They sell many nice postcards, pens, journals, arts and crafts, and gifts. The upstairs seating balcony is so cozy and clean. Most recently, I ordered a breakfast burrito and a latte. The cashier who rang me up brought my food up to me while I was seated in the upstairs balcony. I always notice and appreciate when people go above and beyond when they have no obligation to do so. I very highly recommend supporting this local business!“

“My brother and I stopped in last weekend to see if they allowed dogs on the patio (they do), but the patio had just closed for the season for service. Laura, the hostess, suggested that we could get takeout and eat outside if we wanted, and as it was a gorgeous, not-too-cold day, we took her up on it. She brought out our food and drinks just as we were getting up to pick them up ourselves, and she checked back on us a couple of times. WAYYYYYY beyond the call of her duty, and she was as nice as can be. AND she brought treats for the doggo! Oh, and my brother's chicken pot pie lunch special and my veggie pizza were both absolutely delicious! Highly recommend Poppy's -- ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐“

“First let me say The Stanley Hotel is worth a visit if you are ever in Estes Park. My main negative is we requested an outdoor table and were sat at a lovely “fire pit” table on the patio BUT the fire pit wouldn't light. I will say the waiter Sergae tried very hard, and even divulged that it hadn't been working. I was completely disappointed as it truly would have added to the ambiance and it was a cool evening. In my opinion that table needed to not be used. Everyone around us had a lovely fire at their table. The food was fabulous. Great menu with variety. We also left our jacket there by accident and the next morning we went by and nobody had turned it in to lost and found nor was it still at the table. Disappointed but I know that was ultimately our fault.“
