Captain Hook Seafood Reviews
Came in from out of town late on a Friday during Lent and landed here. Just WOW. We had two shrimp/crab boils and it was amazing. We are originally from CA and used to easy access to fresh seafood. We’ve only had seafood better than this in Myrtle Beach on vacation. We’ve only will definitely be back!
Great food, great service, the food comes out hot and quickly. My wife and I both loved the shrimp and clam boils. I only wish they had bread available to dunk in the garlic butter sauce... delicious!!! The cheesecake was excellent and beautifully presented!
We had a party of 20 for my Mom’s 90th birthday. It was the first time we had been there, the decor was so well done. They sat us in a large room to our selves. Ari & Coma were our waiters and they were fantastic! Food came out together, very quickly, and was out of this world! I can’t recommend them enough, we’ll truly be back!

Captain Hook Seafood offers some fine seafood, with meals like the Pier 66 done perfectly, including perfect corn on the cob and kielbasa paired with tender, large shrimps in garlic butter and mild Cajun sauce. Calamari rings with sweet chili sauce and fried pickles are also nice, and the Captain Hook bacon burger (well done) is really lovely. The shrimp/crab boils are amazing, seasoned and cooked to perfection, with very reasonable prices. The atmosphere is fun and cool, with friendly and polite staff. However, the booths and seating are wildly uncomfortable, with knees jammed against barrel bases of tables—a terrible design. Additionally, the sails on the ship are on backwards, and staff sometimes treat each other disrespectfully in the back room, which is a little uncomfortable to hear.
