I really want to like this place as it's so close to home. But the latest visit was again disappointing. Went for lunch and one of us ordered chicken strips and fries, which comes with dipping sauce. Asked for bbq. When the check came, we were charged for the bbq sauce! I asked the waitress why this was the case since the chicken strips include sauce and she said 'oh, that's only if you get ranch or blue cheese - our manager tells us we have to charge for other sauces'. Stopped in for lunch with my wife, as we were taking care of other business in the same strip mall. This place has been here for years. My wife had an order of wings, split 4 & 4 between the dry rub garlic curry and the honey habanero. The dry rub garlic curry wings were good. The honey habanero, not so much - no heat, sticky and a taste we couldn't identify. The wings should have come with a moist towelette to clean up afterward because they were really messy. Island Grill has great salads and their onion rings are amazing; and must have! I would give them 5 stars but the last few times I ate there the waitress was not to friendly. However the food is great, I have nothing to complain about!
