Mama Bears Cafe is a small, homey, and easy going restaurant. The staff and customers have impressive attitudes that make people want to go back. The cafe is a little “hole in the wall” mom and pops kind of restaurant and a same down to earth greasy spoon, blue collar, hole in the wall masterpiece. It is great for a friendly catch up, low key work lunch, or before work breakfast. The food is great, and you get a large amount of very tasty food. The biscuits are awesome, and so are the chile rellenos, pancakes, sausage patties, and green chille. The half breakfast burrito is really good, and the country potatoes are a hit. The Paul Bunyan gives you a little just about everything for $18, which is a great price. The pancakes are so big and fluffy. The kids menu is really reasonable in price and in selection. The decor is interesting, with messages, drawings, and names on the walls that people have left over the years. Service is great, and everyone is warmly greeted. Good people, good food, and under the radar.
