“My husband and I had just arrived in Golden, were ambling down Washington Street, Historic Golden’s main drag, and stumbled into what turned out to be a great sushi joint: Okinawa– for a bang-up lunch of truly fine sushi, sashimi, seaweed salad, & sake! EVERYTHING looks 100% better after a meal like that!“

“As someone with a shellfish allergy this is my favorite spot. The food is amazing, the service is amazing and I can enjoy sushi! They have been willing to swap out some rolls so I can enjoy them. (Example a Cali roll with mango salsa but they were willing to do a Philly with mango salsa. ) this has become our go to sushi!“

“First time getting sushi here. I’m no expert but what we got seemed fairly priced and the flavors were great.
Rangoons were awesome. They have very solid yellowtail. Presumed owners when i walked in were extremely nice and polite.
Will definitely be back.“

Absolutely love this sushi place. It’s right by my work so I feel incredibly grateful. They have a wide selection of rolls at affordable prices. It’s honestly the best place I’ve found in terms of price and quality in and outside of the Denver area.
I am obsessed with the Dynamite Roll. It is lightly deep fried with eel and cream cheese inside. On top, they drizzle eel and spicy mayo sauce and top it off with tobiko. I also love their lunch specials (pick two or pick three roll options) and their vegetarian rolls. They even have options for people who may really not like sushi or want more options… like the Kobe Beef Roll (it’s awesome and has soy paper). I also have tried their Volcano Roll and it was phenomenal.
The service is always great and everyone is so kind every time I go. It is nowhere near WholeFoods or Grocery Store sushi by any means. If you think it is, maybe you just haven’t tried enough sushi to really make that kind of statement (commenting on a previous review) because that is just ridiculous. I’ve truly never had a bad experience here and I’ve eaten at Sushi Den & Uchi Denver for context.

Kid-friendliness: They mark which dishes are kid friendly on the menu, and they have a lot of options kids love like chicken katsu and Ramires“

“Home run again! Order right every time. Seafood is fresh and melts in your mouth. Personal favorite is spicy Tuna toll. My husband likes the 5 egg rolls for 6$. Their great! Sometimes you crave it and you just gotta have it. Ps. Sweet potato roll is amazing too.“

“A fab place! My son has a sesame allergy and they were super accommodating!! Really friendly and great service. Would definitely go back when we are in the area.
Dietary restrictions: They highlighted the special Gluten Free menu. Also accommodated my son's sesame allergy with ease.
Kid-friendliness: Super laid back and kid friendly. We had three rowdy kiddos and it was easy to accommodate them.

“The new owners in the past year are doing an amazing job. Some nights they’ve become so popular that they are having a little trouble keeping up but they will break their back to make it up to you. So far the food is very delicious and is my favorite in Evergreen. It’s just too bad they have the same name as a restaurant in Florida that keeps coming up on my web search. I wish they would change their name so everyone knows the difference. ?“

“Food: in love with the yummy miso soup, and fried sweet potatoes sushi. The udon noodles were my favorite!!!! The sushi was a bit sloppy- uneven cuts and torn. (See pics)
Service: Tim was attentive and friendly
Atmosphere: 3 TVs playing sports (major turn off for me… others might like) some half booth seating which was nice for comfort.“

“We came here for Valentine’s Day, and as always, the food was amazing! They were understandably super busy, but we were happy to hang out and enjoy each other’s company while waiting for our meal. It’s a little strange seeing negative reviews from people who couldn’t do the same—if you’re with someone you love, isn’t that part of the experience? Great food is always worth the wait, and we’ll definitely be back!“

“Visited on a Thursday in late October 2024. Location off of main strip in beautiful Golden. Miso soup is very good, and not overly salty, abundant tofu and seaweed. My photos do the sushi zero justice. Rice fully, generously wrapped. Tobiko properly crisp. Tuna had to have been swimming this morning.“
