“To start I just want to say I rarely ever write reviews for anything. However the food is so good here I regularly tell all my friends. Currently This is a bit of an undiscovered gem. We have been here a number of times now and every time the food is super fresh and delicious. There are so many creative and different rolls than you would find elsewhere. It easily rivals other more well known sushi restaurants but with a much more laid back atmosphere. The staff is great at making suggestions and I don’t hesitate to try all kinds of new things every time I come. Be sure to check it out!!“

“We went to Fuji Hibachi for an early Father’s Day dinner with our 3 kids on Friday night. It was great! The food was delicious. We had sushi and food from the grill, appetizers and sake. Our Hibachi chef was entertaining and sweet with our kids, the waitress was very sweet and prompt. The sushi was perfect! We had the best time. Can’t wait to come back again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.“

They way they talk about where they sourced the rice to the detail of what type of vinegar it uses on the rice. We ordered a variety of items and they were all delicious - Black Dragon, Korean kimchi fried rice, and Tonkatsu ramen. Even the salad was good and had high quality greens instead of plain lettuce. “My friend and I went here for Valentine's Day. We hadn't made plans because we weren't celebrating the holiday, so we had no reservations. The place was packed. The hosts were busy coordinating reservations that went as late as past 11 pm, as they were open until midnight. They were kind in their greeting and offered us space at the bar, if we could find it. We couldn't. As the wait time was over an hour and a half, we left to go somewhere else but decided to return a little later to check back at the bar. We found some seats that had just been cleared, so we saddled up for a chill time with chopsticks and great ambiance. We were greeted by the friendliest, most energetic bartender I've ever had the pleasure of interacting with while dining out, much less when a place is that busy. She had a smile for miles as she walked us through bar suggestions featuring her alcohol favorites. The reason we rallied to try again at Hapa was that my friend has a serious gluten issue with his severe celiac disease and has never had a problem with their dedicated menu. The gluten-free menu is extensive for such a specialized diet, automatically paired with their gluten-free soy sauce. Since we were sharing our samplings of sushi, sashime, salad, and sake, I went ahead and ordered from that menu as well. I didn't taste any difference in my experience. Our servings were well-timed with salad, main dishes, accompanying sake and wine... and, again, our awesome bartender sharing company with us, a truly gifted gal of service. If I tried to recommend this place more, I'd sound silly. That said, thank you for one of the best Valentine's Day, un-Valentines evenings I've ever had! We left happy with our choice for the night and full in our bellies!“

“Truly the best sushi in Denver and one of my most favorite restaurants ever! I absolutely love the heaven Roll and the Taki black pepper tuna rolls! I have gone to many coastal restaurants that serve sushi and none of them compare to Shiso sushi bar! They also have some nice non-fish items such as the teriyaki chicken bowl, my friend had ordered that before and it was really good! They truly are one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. They take extra precaution for cleanliness, customer service and quality of their food and I appreciate that so much! I often times will order their food to go as well and it always is a hit! Their dining service is nice as well and there is quite a bit of parking which is always a convenient addition to any restaurant. The owner Ken is a great guy and always remembers us and truly appreciates his customer base. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and like I said it’s one of my favorites! It’s also very close to Sloans Lake which is the perfect activity to do before dining in, check them out!“

“I've been here twice and so far the food has been amazing. I usually get salmon sashimi and a California roll. The quality of the sashimi is very good. The sushi rice is perfectly flavored. The atmosphere is more relaxed with interesting detailing on the walls. One thing that surprised me was how huge and clean the bathroom was. I really appreciated that.
My only complaint so far (and a big one, to me) is one of the servers. Both times I've eaten here, while she hasn't stared directly, it's clear she's watching you like a hawk! Typically I'd understand this, it's part of the job. But it felt like I was pressured to make a choice, eat my food, and leave. I took a friend the second time, and while unspoken, I didn't feel welcome to relax and enjoy our meal. Were they busy and needing to clear tables? No. Both times I've gone I was one of two, maybe three tables that were full. While I love the food, the feeling of constantly being watched has been so off-putting I'm hesitant to return.“
