The Denver pizza was on point and the recommendation to put honey on the crust... amazing. Staff was super friendly. Would definitely eat here again if ever in the area again. Typical rustic atmosphere so come as you are and enjoy.

Always eat there when I go to Idaho Springs. The pizzas are amazing. Generous delicious appetizers. The entire staff is friendly and make sure you are taken care of. You can sit outside in a covered area to enjoy beautiful weather days or eat inside and enjoy the unique and historic restaurant. Make it your must go place for a great lunch or dinner!!!

so this was middle of the road entire experience. first of all i was not thrilled to see the salad bar maybe they moved it or covid took it out. not amused to still see it gone that was one the fun pieces.
we went years ago and the whole experience was just fun old mining motif and quiet and pretty good stuff.
this? this was definitely not fun. 25 minute wait and we got sat out on the back deck which appeared to be a porch for people and their dogs.
the service was uniform. ive seen this kinda service before when i worked in restaurants. it gets soooooo out of control busy that the servers are what do you want? here it is eat and get out. their goal is to turn as many tables as possible quickly to keep up with the demand.
lastly... the food. was not real great. i ordered it and of course i was looking forward to mountain pie and we got this flat pizza with tomato sauce. which we should have asked for something different because my kids allergic to tomatos but again it was so overrun and busy i didn't have the heart to say anything and of course the kid broke out in a nice chin rash.
what i do not understand is there is boat loads of room. so why are they not utilizing those rooms when its that busy?

Stopped by for an early dinner on the way home. I wanted chicken wings. Thought about pizza but decided on chicken wings , stuffed mushrooms , and a yummy cranberry salad when I got there. This venue is in the town that started the gold rush. It has a lot of history and old dwellings. This location is one of my favorites. It has a rustic charm to it that invokes nostalgia, history and a show of old purpose. The food is delicious and pizza is its forte. Their pizzas is the best pizza ever ! I’ve traveled and had pizza all over this country. But now, when I think of pizza , I think of Beau Jo’s bc Beau Jo’s have perfected the art of pizza making and its recipe across the board. All I have to say about their food , is no matter what you get, it’s gonna be delicious and you’ll be happy with everything you choose. The portion of our salad was perfect for 2 also. You can get the wings dry rubbed or with sauces. I ordered the dry rub and it was perfectly cooked. The stuffed mushrooms were served hot and delicious. Our server was sweet, quick , considerate and honest. Never had slow or bad service there. We were seated right away. No waiting. The dining areas are spacious with plenty of seating. No booths just tables and there’s a bar. It’s a place you can take family , colleagues and have meetings at. The atmosphere is casual, friendly and inviting for all ages. You’ll see lots of nostalgic pictures from the past and old art that were once used long ago. An old mining shaft is on display too. The bathrooms are located on the ground level by the stairs and the rest are upstairs. There is also outside dining if you prefer. There are 2 entrances. The front and the back. Depending on your time of arrival , you will have to pay for parking either in the lot facing the highway or on the side of the street by it.

The pizza was confusing size wise, I wasn't sure what they meant for the lb. measurement of dough, rather than the diameter of it. The vegan pizza had raw vegan toppings in it, and was kind of soggy, but my pizza was good. Just insanely expensive for the size of the pizza. (i did a lot of toppings though, but even the toppings were overpriced) Denver style pizza is a cool concept, but it seems to fall flat when it comes to satiating at a reasonable price.

Awful awful service tonight. None of your staff apparently know how to count to the number 7, nor did they care to try whether it came to seats, menus, chairs or drinks. Being treated like we were a bother to ask for refills or our childs meal they did not bring out. Then ask for cash tips?! Awfully bold. Expos were rude and couldnt be bothered to bring anything missing and our waitress could care less if she brought the items we asked for or if she got them right. 16 dollars for a sub par sandwich and a bag of chips. If you want a club, your expectations should be very low here. A piece of turkey, bacon and half melted cheese thrown messily on a hoagie with some chopped tomatoes on the side. 🤔🤔 not sure I'll ever suggest this place for an out of town guest again, nor make a special trip to eat here. 0 stars honestly.
