Food is great
I haven't been here in years. It is a staple. Drove the Peak to Peak hwy from Longmont, stopped at the Argo Mine store and bought a Colorado book. A beautiful drive, met friends for dinner at Beau Jo's just as great as I remember. The mountain pie is really good and the crust not too heavy.

Not sure how or why this pizza has so many great reviews it was mediocre at best. The dough wasn't cooked all the way through, toppings all fell apart as soon as you picked up a slice. Crust is nothing special. Really disappointed. I was in the rush to the airport, otherwise I would ask for something else.
Service was great. Pizza was not.

I was excited to finally try this place after years of driving by. We arrived on a busy Sunday evening and were pleasantly surprised that our wait for an outdoor table was only 5 minutes, even though we were quoted 15.

Unfortunately, the experience started to go downhill once we were seated. Our server seemed disinterested from the start. When we told her it was our first visit and asked what they were known for, she mentioned drizzling the crust with honey. Oddly, there was no honey at our table — and it didn’t come out with our food either. We had to ask for it, which felt like a missed opportunity, especially since it was one of the only things she highlighted.

All three of us ordered pizzas, but each one had the same issue: the toppings slid right off the crust when we picked up a slice. It made the pizza hard to enjoy and honestly felt a bit sloppy. We’re all pizza lovers, and this was disappointing.

Service didn’t improve throughout the meal. Our server hovered just enough to glance over but never really checked in. My daughter sat with an empty drink for most of the meal and it went unnoticed.

To top it off, the women’s restroom was noticeably messy, which only reinforced our decision to wrap up quickly.

I felt pricing seemed reasonable.

As major pizza lovers, this just didn’t register as anything special for us.

Unique pizza experience. If you only like NY style pizza, you will hate this place. But it's really good for the style it is.

So let’s just get the obvious portion out of the way, for a pizza place this is what I would consider expensive. For a restaurant in Colorado, It is not but when you consider that their primary dish is pizza, it is (37$ just for our large). Now that we’ve covered that, it is delicious pizza worth every single dollar! If plain hand tossed or New York style isn’t your thing, which is what they call Prairie crust, go for the mountain style crust and make sure to throw some honey on it at the end. Just trust me we had a ton of fun eating here. The environment was great. It had a moderate noise level but easy to converse, and the food was absolutely delicious. Get the honey cheese bread and put honey on top of it. Pictured below is the Pacific Plantation in their 3lb (Large) size, fed me and my wife and I’m a 6’1” competition bodybuilder, could easily feed a family of 4! We will return or visit other locations!

Sat at the bar as we were told it was going to be a 45 min. wait. There wasn't a sol sitting at the outside tables at the front or the back outdoor area. There were empty tables inside the restaurant & the bar area.
Not my first time at a Beau Jo's restaurant but I don't think I'll go back to the Idaho Springs location ever again.

Best. Pizza. Ever. The rich, thick, luxurious crust is legendary.

The pizza was amazing, I had the hipster and it was phenomenal. Unfortunately, the service was lacking. Sat at the bar and had some of the worst service I’ve ever experienced. Eventually, bartender came over and said the restaurant was overwhelmed with a “300 person party”. If that’s the case, restaurant should staff for such events or be upfront with patrons to expect a wait and poor service.

Very good nachos, the pizza was a can favorite among the family

We had a great lunch here after rafting with Clear Creek. We ordered a couple mountain pizzas which were amazing. Full of toppings and delicious. Crust dipped in the honey was a great touch. Couple others had the baked pasta. I tried it and while it was good, I feel like it needed more sauce, but the ones that got it liked it.

We got there before the rush. It filled up quickly. Our server did her best for how busy she was. Wait for food wasn’t bad at all considering how big and busy it was.

We parked right around the back for easy access. It’s paid parking, but was only I think $5 for 2 hours. After we ate we walked the town a little. Nice they have the street shut down and you can enjoy the town a little.
