Nice little joint in Lakewood. The gals have been working there A LONG time. Lol No nonsense and pretty direct, but the food food is great!! Really authentic Chicago style dogs! Restaurant is old but they got cool stuff all over. Thanks for a tasty meal!
Oh, how I’ve missed the food since I moved out here! This place is a godsend. I can get a hot dog or Italian beef, plus butter cookies and Pixies *chef’s kiss* I go home to Chicago maybe once a year but this hits the spot all year round!
Such a great piece of home that saves a thousand mile drive! The place has Chicago memorabilia of all sorts tacked onto nearly every inch of wall and display. The couple that run it have the salt Chi-town dubiously throws on the streets running through their veins which only adds to the authenticity of the joint. We’re not at all related but they remind me of my family and it’s a big reason why I stop in. But of course atmosphere only goes so far if there isn’t any food...
