This is the second one we've been to not knowing that they were a chain. Glazed donuts and longjohns were good, apple fritters left alot to be desired being the thickness of a cookie. We are used to them being an inch or more thick. Any town is fortunate to have a bakery like this even if it is a chain. We use Storm Lake (Iowa) Bakery as the standard for comparison, not having found one better...yet.
My family loves this place. Its fresh doughnuts! What is not to love? The people are friendly, and I enjoy visiting their establishment. Park behind the building and walk through a lovely little courtyard/passageway to get to their place. They also serve Community Coffee, a plus for this Louisiana-born girl. It takes dedication to bake doughnuts all night, by the way. Thank you!
