“Satiated and Satisfied.
It’s difficult to find food places these days that truly make you feel this way. The person, whom I can only assume to be the owner, was friendly and helped gauged what I was looking for. They even gave me extra bits to try as another way of “taking care of the customer”. Money well spent because I will still be eating this lunch plate happily at dinner, perhaps breakfast too!“

“We went to Shondiz last night for dinner and it was excellent. We were served barley soup (ashe joh) when we first got there and it was the best I ever had. I ordered mast-o-mousir to start and it did not disappoint. My husband ordered zereskh polo with chicken and I had the juheh kebab. Both meals were great. The owner Mohammed came out to talk to us and he was really friendly. We will definitely be back!“

“My first time eating here and Ioved it! The recommended soup was amazing and the Lamb Shank lived up to its reputation! The hospitality was second to none. Very welcoming and gracious as I asked questions about everything! The meal was topped with a new favorite ice cream! Definitely will be back again!! Great job!!“

“Staying downtown - they had a great lunch special. Everything was fresh and delicious. A tiny bit off the beaten path but worth it. They give you a good amount of sauce and the service was fast and friendly. The atmosphere is dated and no frills but CLEAN. Did not like the bathroom but can’t complain really too much because they let you use it and it is a cool liminal space journey to the toilet. I would only ask for a new bottle of hand soap for future visits. Will be back and recommend.“

“omg we absolutely loved everything! we tried various items since it was our first time. the staff was so wonderful and very helpful with any questions. the hummus is the best!! My favorite hummus now. the portions are a great size on the entrees and everything is seasoned to perfection! even the lentil soup....I had no idea lentil soup could be that good. this place deserves to be way more packed than it is. it looks worn on the outside but the food is too good to not keep going back. 10/10 I definitely recommend!“
