Drinks are cheap! Food is great. atmosphere is benevolently crazy. Owner is a class act. The cook Mel is a tad weird.

Stopped in after a 2-year absence to again be delighted by this place. It has the intangibles that other places only dream of. Throw in a terrific, creative staff, great eats and thoughtful live music, and you've got a funky institution. Thank you Ali for hosting us and we will definitely be back again. Armadillo Ranch is a Grateful Dead themed spot with a great atmosphere. The food options are mostly fried but good. One of the finest Reubens is served here, and the deep fried tacos are yummy. The burger is described as the best burger of a lifetime, and the pulled pork sandwich is also liked. Onion rings are great but a little greasy. There is a deal for $14 for two tacos and a margarita, and the margaritas are STRONG and perfectly balanced. Plenty of drink options are available. Staff is super friendly, and the bartender is friendly as well. Parking is paid on the street at about $3 for an hour. This is a go to place in Manitou Springs.
